"What a nice time we had. ordered eating from the takeaway nextdoor and immersed in a drink while waiting for our order. the very friendly renter said that we could have our take in the pub if we wanted to resist a nice beer while we eat ours. many thanks for their offer. "Cold and smelled of dogs on arrival. Waited ages to be served and the waitress was more interested on who was at the bar rather than taking our table order for 10 people. Food was very salty and the steak pie in particular was terrible. Every meal as standard/basic or frozen style food. The whole place is run down and miserable. We went off trip advisor reviews as well on a visit to the area and wished we hadn’t. Go to The Pheasant Inn down the road at Allithwaite instead that was lovely food and fab service."

"Have been meaning to visit for some time an was not disappointed. Loved the Baileys latte and the chocolate waffle. The main problem was deciding what to have from the exciting range of goodies. Must go back!"
