"We both had the 7” shrimp Po-Boy. I added a side of fritten and we ended up with a dessert I can't say much less spell. everything surpassed our expectations, and my wife still saved over eating. this place was called by google maps and was the short way around the carbahn well worth! btw, we have the half of the food we ordered as rest. huge portions!"

"We enjoyed Mother's Day brunch very much. Our waitress was Katie and she treated us royally. The food was delicious and just the right portions. When we were escorted to our first table my wife and I noticed a cool draft of wind from the ac. We mentioned it to the hostess. She immediately, without hesitation or any sign of annoyance, looked at her seating chart, apologized for the draft, and brought us to an adjacent room to another table where we enjoyed a fine brunch. The ambiance in this restaurant is pleasing to the eye and everyone around us seemed to be having an enjoyable time as well. My wife and I highly recommend Palmettos on the Bayou Restaurant. It's fine dining at it's best"

"So glad we stopped from southside when I was in slidell to work my truck on. we had lunch, but it was worth it. my wife had the new orleans muffaletta and I had the Irish channel gumbo. the muffaletta was excellent and was really enough that two people could have ordered and shared. I was interested not only to try the Irish channel gumbo, both the seafood gumbo and the chicken sausage gumbo, but the two gumbums were separated by their potato salad. now I have heard of some sharing from louisiana who serve gumbs with kartoffel salad, but I never had it like that. it was amazing! I noticed that the salates that people ordered me could look amazing next time."

"I think I like this place more for the service, and local friendly atmosphere more so than the actual food. The food is not bad either but I wouldnt say it's great, the best thing we had do far was the veggie sandwich. I would definitely try it again"

"The service we recieved was great! Our waitress was very attentive and sweet. Any questions I had about the menu she was able to explain in great detail. I went for brunch and had a jalapeño cornbread with a crawfish sauce which was a special appetizer for that day. It wasn't spicy at all, but it was pretty good. The fried gulf oysters was on point. I really enjoyed, along with the sauce! Overall, I had wonderful time dining here, not to mention the ambience and atmosphere was wonderful, I will definitely be back. Next to try will be the Palmettos cheeseburger, I'm told it is very good. I recommend you to give this place a try : ."
