"It is only a few kilometres south of Darmstadt. The mountain road is always a rewarding destination for a journey at the beginning of spring. It was one of the first “outride” with the motorcycle this year, which took place in beautiful weather and not too cold weather. It is nice to be free on weekdays to visit such destinations that are usually totally overrun on a weekend. The mountain road belongs to it from A to Z. Vegetation is usually a week ahead and attracts nature lovers who cannot wait to a great extent for spring. But it was Thursday and no trip. Without a fixed route, my only destination on this day was “the blue in the south”. No road map, no navigation commanded me “Now turn left!” Darmstadt just finished. Bickenbach, Aslbach-Hähnlein – past the “first wolf that can bake”. Since I had no fixed goal, I almost had the sign on the castle Alsbach. Why not? So close and yet unknown! Sure you have a beautiful view from there. Similar to Frankenstein Castle, Alsbach Castle is located on the foothills of the Odenwald above the village. From the point of view, the gods have ordered the ascent. You should not suffer from fear of space or height. A narrow wooden spiral staircase goes up. Some steps are suspected, but they stopped me. That's enough. By the way, the entrance to the tower is reached via an airy, free-standing wooden construction. Also not necessarily something for those of high fear or dizziness. Also on the homepage of the association are the many events that take place here year after year. A living ruin. But I can't get a trigger. The castle is “managed”. In the castle garden there is a foreign body and immediately receives the visitor. Containers are very useful! I didn't find this fist matching the otherwise beautiful eye. This reduces the overall impression only slightly. The old walls and the magnificent view over the hills of the Odenwald and the vastness of the Rhine plain are too dominant."

"During my visit to the Chauseehaus in Zwingenberg yesterday, I was torn out of sleep by the extremely corpulent operation on the billiard table at my daily dose sleep. My subsequent question as to whether my friends have already paid my beers was negated with incomprehensible views. At the peak of my dissatisfaction of the current evening I came when the service actually required 2.20€ per beer unit! This was my last visit to the Chauseehaus at the ravine prices.
