"Macrina Bakery is a Seattle-based chain. This is the second location in East Capitol Hill that we have visited so far, and it was as excellent as the other Macrina location in Upper Queen Anne District. The staff was helpful and provided detailed information about the vegan and non- vegan breads. There are many vegan breads to choose from. As with Desserts, there were only two vegan desserts in May 2021. This time we tried the double chocolate organic cookie, and it was great: bitter chocolate, crisp, with chocolate chips. The vegan desserts have small signs that clearly show what vegan is. Outside seats consisted of tables around the circumference of the parking lot and a nearby shop. There was also a table in front of the entrance."

"Nuflours was one of the first places I found with vegan treats, and after learning they just so happened to be gluten-free and women-owned, I was sold! I haven’t physically been in the store since pre covid (since I moved), but I still keep myself updated with their products because they hold a special place in my heart. They would often have vegan treats, and I one time had customed ordered a birthday cake from them a few years ago. The cake was beautiful and super tasty!! Everyone in the shop has always been very friendly and was always aware of veganism and vegan options. For full disclosure, although it’s pretty obvious, the photo I posted of my birthday cake was slightly edited to remove personal information. Updated from previous review on 2022-03-11"

"Sampled only a few items but the pretty good. Char siu bao needs a little more filling the proportion is off. Filling was very good though and without the ugly red dye used at many places."

"We visited Pike Place during weekday and off-holiday season, very pleasant indeed, no queues for several outlets. We tried the BBQ Hom Bow, Mini Moon cake without yolk. All are delicious, especially the BBQ pork hom bow freshly from the oven. Crispy bread with fragrant and juicy pork filling. Mooncake also has flaky skin and not too sweet lotus pas paste."

"Finally! An almond croissant that holds its own in Seattle! I?m sure the not-so-secret ingredient is butter but I don?t care because it?s banging. The coffee also reminded me of Europe (stronger than one tends to get in the USA) and it paired perfectly. Service with a smile too!"
