"We were going to get lunch here, but luckily were put off by the absolute troll of a manager. Whilst browsing the menu I dared to take my 3 year old son to the toilet, only to be attacked with verbal abuse which shook my son up. Husband tried to confront the woman about the stick she clearly had up her backside, but she just kept turning her back to him and refused to serve us for ice cream. Lucky really as I would have probably smeared it all over her glass hand off cabinet. Sour and unpleasant woman. Suprised the ice creams haven 't curdled in her presence."

"It was getting close to 2:00 and we were starting to panic. The place we wanted to go was closed that day (who knew?) and there were a few people eating at Le Croquant. So we said to ourselves, "how bad can it be"? BAD! Frozen French friesare a big no-no in my book but not in theirs. A runny omelette with mushrooms that were NOT cepes. What is most disturbing to me is the reviews....I can't imagine why nobody has given this place even an "average" (it's true that there are only 18 reviews...) but please think twice before going in here!"

"Quiet small place from the lively towards the city. beautiful terrace. excellent eating. I had to whistle and frit for a main dish that were perfect. my friend had a goat cheese and tomatenhaupt, who had the masterstroke of eis in the middle... it was great. although a limited weinliste was it a good service and very reasonable prices."

"Above all; this place is open all year! it offers activities and concerts. it is a brilliant meeting point to share a drink with friends. they offer a large selection of beers and homemade cocktails. do not hesitate to talk to the staff...for any advice about local beer or activities during their vacation in dordogne. hopefully they will meet franck; the humblest and dedicated bar owner. if they are in sarlat; and want to avoid tourist bars; I strongly advise to go there!"

"A bad kind waitress, which seems aroused by his profession. an inadmissible one-half hour waiting for four ice cuts. The order was difficult since most perfumes were no longer available (the combination of not having the fragrance of their specialty, the tara di piu) ordered a 3-ball ice cream: result only two in the cup. strawes tagada frozen. and a well salted addition of €26, for a bad benefit."

"Just a simple bar on the main street through the town but served us an enjoyable breakfast. We each had one of the two petit dejeuner prix fixe options: one sweet, one savoury and both were just right to start another hot day in the Dordogne. Really appreciated being given a water bowl for the dog without asking. Friendly, attentive service."
