"So we usually go there for breakfast and it’s normally a great experience. Sadly this one time was different… to start off we had no idea who our server at first as there was three people coming asking what we would like to drink, then we waited about an hour for the food and still gave us a wrong order. When we did get our food there was egg shells in my partners eggs (which they did not ask how we wanted our eggs done) they did how ever ask how we would want our toast, which we said brown, we got white.. it’s sad to say but this was not a good experience if the place or example"

"The food is very good, all freshly prepared and cooked. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. Of course, great entertainment on Thursday Blues night with Frank's; Friday and Saturday dancing with Paul and Daniel and Easy Listening music retro with Frank's Musical Journey Sunday night. A good musical variety. All perfect ingredients for success."

"Nous somme aller a ce restaurant un lundi temps tranquille dans les restaurants la réception des clients est correct vite assis a sa place nous commandons deux sous-marin et frite + 2 bières voila les bières mais pour ce qui est de la bouffe après 45 min la bière fini sans nouvelle du serveur qui va de place en place mais jamais a notre table des personne arriver après nous sont servi je suis donc aller payer mes 2 bières et parti et jamais je ne retournerai a cette endroit ou les client ne sont rien pour certain serveur de plus un cuisinier avec une barbe ( grosse dans le cas) devrais porter un filet"

"Ende september we drove to valleyfield, quebec and went along the canal. it is always difficult to find information about restaurants in valleyfield. I read about le local on a few web pages, but the restaurant/café itself has no website. we. found it without difficulty and entered a well-maintained, bright, squeaking, inviting space that is both a restaurant/café and a gourmet food business. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the menu is small and for lunch were almost all sandwiches and an salad option. the sandwiches included thunfischsalat, asian chicken salad, sink and cheese, chevre and caramelized wobble, vegetarian of the day, and a pale the salat option was brokkoli with cheese and cranberries. we tried the thunfish salad and the locally healed ham and cheddarsandwiches. both were good. the Broccoli salad was served as a side with each sandwich and it was excellent. the broccoli was very fresh and sat with a light Mayo type dressing. we both had a variation of tiramisu for dessert. it was the traditional sweet Mascarpone cheese over a layer of local strawberries. it was very delicious. we had both cappuccinos, which were excellent and beautifully served in dishes. in the restaurant there is a large selection of gourmet products, including pasta from italia, olive oil from italia and france, a large selection of edgy, homemade chutneys, loose tee and formaggio parmigiano reggiano. there was also a limited selection of handmade porcelain. we bought a very pretty olive dish of the artist stephanie paquet. we look forward to a new visit."
