"This is an excellent little curry house. We've been eating here atleast a few times a month for a number of years.Service has always been friendly, although when the restaurant is at full capacity the service can be very slow.The waiters seem genuinely pleased to take special orders and adapt meals to individual requirements, it seems that these requests are recognised and catered to by the chef.Food is consistantly excellent, we have never experienced any problems with any of our meals. The price is fantastic at around per head for a starter and main course.Soft drinks are also very well priced.For us an added bonus is being able to bring our own alchohol into the restaurant."

"I've almost given up reviewing Wetherspoon pubs. They have such a common theme it's almost impossible to write anything original. The drinks were extensive and cheap, the food, getting worse."

"What a great little find this was. I was in Ripon for work and came across this little restaurant so went in for lunch. I got speaking to the owner and he was very friendly and knowledgeable letting me know about the menu. I went for the flame grilled gambas and chorizo. Wow the flavours and taste were amazing. The prawns were massive, charcoaled on the grill and tasted beautiful. The chorizo, wow was a taste sensation and the sauce was to die for. I was there on a lunchtime and will definitely be back on an evening to taste the cocktails they do as they looked awesome. I also liked the fact it was an open plan kitchen so you could see everything going on and the ambience of the place with the music. I don’t do many reviews, but if you’re in Ripon go and check this place out"

"Went to Mario's yesterday and as an Italian I can tell you one thing : they DO serve proper Italian food. Marco, Mario's son spent some time at our table he is adorable and you can tell he is very passionate about what he does. Pasta is cooked al dente, sauces are not greasy and pizzas are top notch please don't skip this restaurant. A big hug to Mario's mum, what a sweet hard working lady Anna from Italy (and the English crew from yesterday) Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Beautiful pub. beautiful staff. nice eating. we came away for the weekend in maturity and came only for a pint that went back to chippy, but saw the Sunday dinners and could not resist, they looked out and melt beautifully. So we ditched the chippy and ordered Sunday evening dinner, so glad we did, it was beautiful. bark meat was cooked to perfection and so were the carrots. partner had pork and said it was nice and veg was boiled place on. they come back when we're ever back in the rib."

"Popped in yesterday while in Ripon for the day and by a stroke of luck they had launched anew vegan menu the day before. Cannot recommend highly enough the choice is really different and extensive. There are great healthy option but some fab trashy food the bombay burrito is to die for. really recommend. The guys are really helpful and service was great. the beer garden was great as well. will defo return"
