"Walking along Tivoli Road South Yarra the other morning and I could smell home baked bread. Where was it coming from..... this bakery I discovered with lots of people lined out the door waiting to sample its delicious goodies.I stood in line and it seemed to take ages before reaching the counter to get a loaf of crusty sourdough bread. If I had not had brekky, I would have sat there and had a coffee, which looked pretty good (although from what was coming out, it looked as though it could be made a bit stronger for real coffee drinkers, not the Saturday morning latte set! The lemon filled donuts looked great too and I had to sample one. It was not disappointed.Will go back again as the bread was "tops" Its a bit expensive, but hey the smell is worth it."

"Loved this find in South Melbourne! This is such a trendy bakery with really European styled items. I loved the different menu items, I got this antipasto plate which has a bretzel! So good! Plus enjoyed the salmon on rye! Another must visit place when you’re around!"

"Every time I pass by a Laurent cafe, I can never stop myself from going in and treating myself to one of their stunning French desserts (not good, since there are so many outlets around Melbourne now! . <br/ <br/ I tried the Castel (hazelnut meringue, hazelnut cream, nougatine, dark chocolate , which definitely exceeded my expectations! The combination of creamy, soft and crispy textures was delightful, and the hazelnut aroma definitely cake through. <br/ <br/ The only bad point is that it is slightly over-priced for what you get, so it’s definitely not a regular thing!"
