"We had a great evening in L'anima. Excellent food, including classics, dishes and appetizers that are not found in any Italian. The service was also excellent, always polite and attentive. In addition, I had the feeling that the requirements for Covid-19 were all as prescribed."

"This restaurant at the corner is definitely something I can recommend. A Sunday visit turned out to be one of the most pleasant restaurant visits in Düsseldorf.The starter "blood sausage" just melted and the large tender entrecôte was perfect. Music in the background was an odd mix but not disturbing."

"On my way to Düsseldorf I consulted the local expert or read his latest reviews. In the short term, we had twice bad luck, but in the Menta Cucina we were told we could try good luck. Since it was also 20:30 at the time, we were glad to leave the area around the chefs after we had pulled there in an accident-free way through enormous crowds, we hoped that the first former guests would go again. The parking search in Unterbilk was difficult, but then we improvise in the second row without obstructing anyone and later found our car unhindered without love letters under the windshield wiper. The restaurant looks like a former shop, large windows towards the street, and in summer there are also a few tables on the sidewalk, as well as a courtyard. The interior is quite simple, a vault in which the padrone prepares straight bowls with olive oil and balsamico and behind it the access to the kitchen, in the front area approx. 10 tables in different sizes and then a side room with another 16 seats. We were kindly greeted and asked to wait as soon as something was free. 5 minutes later we sat at a rather small table in the side room, but something was cramped at eating as it was placed directly on the wall. You have to get used to the interior, despite some Italian accessories lack the cosiness, the light is too bright, for example candles on the tables are missing. Unfortunately, it was also quite loud as the pre-criticism has already done. For example, the vacuum cleaner standing on the closet was not fit in the picture, probably there is no other room in the illumination of the restaurant. The toilets also very economical, quite old, but clean. There is a small beverage card and a small menu with 12 pizzas, a few pasta dishes and appetizers, with meat dishes from hotchucke with lenses or brewed beef with couscous. In general, some foods offered were combinations of Italian and Arabic cuisine. In addition, some additional dishes were offered on wall panels. Unfortunately, it turned out that both courts I was out of were able to speak for the locals, others would then look through. So we ordered as an appetizer Rucola with pear, Parmigiano 6,50 € and Vitello Tonnato from the table 9,00 € and as main food spaghetti with limonene oil flow cancer 8,00 € and from the table Saltimbocca from the table 14,50 €. Half a litre of water is available for 2,50 € and half a litre of Vino della Casa for 8,50 €, which was a bit too sweet for our taste. In the meantime there was the already mentioned olive oil with a bread basket with two types of bread. Both appetizers were excellent, a large plate of veal, not drowned under a tuna sauce, as often experienced, with cherry tomatoes some capers and some rocket, interesting the combination of the other appetizers very thin sliced pears and rocket on a balsamico oil hodressing with thin parmesan slices a round taste composition. After a pleasant waiting period, the main dishes, the spaghetti with the river crabs on a picnic slightly sharp sauce with dried tomatoes, the Saltimbocca, as they can not be better, very thin, fresh sage and a slice of ham, not folded, but well roasted, the frozen fond with butter and wine, to consider a joy as a leaf, pretily tasted with roses. At the end we had a Torroncino 4 € and 2 espresso 1.80 €, according to our own customers with the best in Düsseldorf, which did not turn out to be exaggeration. The young staff of Sevice were present all the time, very friendly and sympathetic. Conclusion: A very good meal that is not to be expected in the ambience, we would live in Düsseldorf without further delay of one of our tribes. Even if we sat, each table was immediately occupied by new guests between 20 and 30. I'm sorry not to be able to forgive more than 2 stars for the ambience and that the place slips away with it, but a recommendation is definitely it. Another hint, the restaurant's website is amusing and loving chewing I decided to rate the overall impression here (not the individual areas according to the scheme of a kitchen trip. This review background is solved by a restaurant classification. This can apply to both a star place and a pizzeria or a snack. I think that's fair, every restaurant category will be fair, and I'd find it nice if other friends take it and get it through for the overall impression here. Overall impression: 4 – again happy (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – when it returns, 4 – again happy, 5 – absolutely again"

"Wir waren heute das erste Mal hier essen, das Restaurant - es gibt es schon seit ca. 20 Jahren - unter neuer Leitung und Namen seit 6 Monaten. Das Ambiente ist wirklich sehr schön, es gibt eine Terrasse auf 2 Ebenen, die Straße hört man fast gar nicht - zumindest unten, wo wir saßen. Der Chef ist wirklich sehr nett, er hat nicht übertrieben, in einem Magazin hat er so schön gesagt: "Nein, das ist nicht mein Restaurant, es gehört meinen Gästen"! Dieses Gefühl gibt er einem auch wirklich von Anfang an und, was mir immer sehr wichtig ist, es ist keine gestellte Freundlichkeit, er ist wirklich so! Das hat man auch im Umgang mit seinen Angestellten gemerkt. Wir hatten als Vorspeise: Spaghettini mit Sommertrüffeln und Oktopus mit Salat (den gab es leider nicht, aber es wurde sofort als Alternative Calamari (frische mit Tentakeln, nicht die frittierten Ringe! angeboten). Beides sehr lecker, aber als Vorspeise schon etwas mächtig (selbst mein Freund war danach schon so gut wie satt) - vielleicht kann man hier etwas kleinere Portionen anbieten, wenn man noch einen Hauptgang isst. Als Hauptgang gab es Lammkarree in Pinienkernkruste und Steinbutt (obwohl man das eigentlich erst ab 2 Personen bestellen konnte) mit Zitronensauce und Pfifferlingen, alles mit leckerem knackigen Gemüse (Spinat, Porreestange, Möhren...). Wir waren so satt, dass wir keinen Nachtisch mehr essen konnten. Wir durften dann noch "aufs Haus" den selbstgemachten Kaffeelikör probieren, der war wirklich einfach toll, normalerweise mag ich soetwas nicht, weil ich nichts Süßes esse, der war aber wirklich einfach nur lecker! Generell würde ich mir wünschen, dass bald noch sehr viel mehr Gäste kommen, da es ein wirklich toller + original Italiener ist. Ich würde mir aber auch wünschen, dass es evtl. Menüs gibt, da die Einzelpreise der Speisen schon recht hoch sind. Wir kommen trotzdem wieder!"
