"I went to this place for a few years and would be very good for a grocery store and/or a fast bite! QUALITY OF QUALITY Food for a FAIR PRICE: The owners are great! Always a pleasure to stop. Here have bought 2x a week for the last few years, and for most part the staff is good. On occasion I see the owner, Beth, she is always so friendly and helpful.. I always try to talk to Lisa (Elisabeth), as it is reliable and always on point in every respect! She is always so attentive, friendly, quick and helpful with my orders, every time! Always knows what's going on, and have first experienced their big repore with a number of other customers! For me, the 2 most important things are quality product and quality service! This place has that and I would recommend this place to everyone."

"There's only one department worth a damn....and that's the pharmacy. The rest of this store is saddled with terrible product selection and awful service. The seafood department is awful (nothing EVER looks fresh have they ever heard of keeping stuff on ice?? Maybe they've just given up because realize that people who want a decent selection of fish just go up the road to River Falls or Potomac Market. The bakery is a joke. They run out of stuff constantly. One week they have certain packaged breads...the next week they don't. And selling THOSE awful fake bagels in Potomac? What are they thinking? The prepared foods area is sad. Just old and sad looking foods. Finally every other grocery chain Wegmans, Whole Foods, Harris Teeter, The Fresh Market ALL OF THEM have brought back their salad bar and olive bar. Giant's salad bar was never as good as any of theirs in the past...and now it simply is gone. WHY??? Please don't blame the pandemic. Everyone else has managed to resume that service. Finally this store only survives because Safeway is even worse. This Giant serves an upscale area. The products and service should reflect that. And it doesn't. Shameful. I guess this is what you get when a Dutch Multinational corporation owns your local grocery store."

"So glad we found Old Anglers Inn. The atmosphere begins as a you walk up to the Inn from the parking lot and step inside the entrance. Intimate seating and even with each table taken it is not loud and you can easily carry on a conversation. The staff was outstanding and extremely knowledgeable. I strongly recommend the mussels as a shared starter. The braised beef with mashed potatoes was outstanding and will be ordered again! Fell in love with the place and forgot to take pictures throughout the evening, finally got one at the end."

"Decided a treat was in order due to a special occasion. I was in Potomac and decided to try this french restaurant that had caught my eye a few times in passing by. Old but quaint and cozy. Wholesome food and quite a pleasant dining experience. Plan to try out more dishes on another special occasion."

"It's under new ownership and MUCH better than it was. The chef came out to check with people. The wait staff was helping each other out. We had 1 special that was quite good and 1 item from the regular menu that was not as good but not bad. Also, it was spotless. Clean. And they clearly fixed all the furnishings. Maybe some of it was new. They cook well but not yet exceptionally. They're getting there. We will go again."

"I dined at Lock 72 for the first time this past Sunday enjoying a sensational prime casual dining experience. The entire L72 operation is well thought out including curb appeal, interior design, lighting and furnishings; superior hospitality/customer service from knowledgeable, personable staff; wonderfully prepared and artfully plated menu list using flavorful, farm fresh ingredients. The interior is done in lighter color earth tones, restaurant interior has appealing sight lines, soft lighting and music sound level is moderate. I dined at the bar. The bar chairs have backs, seats have a bit of cushion and the bar top is stone. I enjoyed Swordfish with beurre blanc sauce substitution I requested, Fresh Cut Fries and Carrot Cake for dessert that is served with a scoop of homemade Vanilla Ice Cream. L72 Carrot Cake is delicious. It is not the cloying carrot cake you often encounter. I started with a Negroni that Randy, the bartender, kindly made for me using my recipe, 1 shot gin, 1/2 shot Campari and 1/4 shot sweet vermouth stirred on rocks and strained into a rocks glass and enjoyed a sauvignon blanc paired with the swordfish, a shot of Kahlúa and shot of espresso with the carrot cake and vanilla ice cream. I ended ordering a shot of Meyer’s Rum. Easy to become a regular here I believe."
