"The menu is quite limited but is one of the few restaurants, in Pons, to offer a vegetarian option. I ordered the (petite) bruschetta with chèvre, tomate pomme et miel, with a side portion of chips and my husband had the steak de thon mi...cuit sauce vierge with chips. Both lunches were fresh, delicious, very filling we both agreed had the nicest chips we'd tasted in a long time. The staff were really welcoming and friendly, even though we hadn't made a reservation and as the restaurant is in a lovey situation, directly opposite le donjon,. I would highly recommend this restaurant. for a coffee, cold drink or a meal"

"This enchanting site is perfect for those who want peace and relaxation. No pizza or playgrounds, just a nice flat plot divided into very generous pitches. Natural nursery formed by mature trees and flower shrubs, each plot has its own water and electricity supply. The site is located in the enclosure of an old Art Deco water mill. The charming owner Gerry (Apology my spelling) was very useful and she spoke to us in perfect English. We found this site accidentally, but I'll be back for a long stay. (Notification d"

"Stayed here for several nights as ideal for access to Pons and Saintes. The owners and staff were very friendly and the restaurant was very nice. You could sit outside close to the river and soak in the atmosphere. We had a little inflatable boat and was able to launch it from the site but the river was rather weedy and we had to look out for branches in the water"

"After breaking down on the tolls and realising my vehicle was dead I asked for a local hotel for a couple of nights. The Hotel de Bordeax is where the tow truck guy dropped me off. I speak no French and only a little Spanglish...(with a West Yorkshire dialect) but the staff here made me feel very welcome and helped in any way they could. Even if it was a struggle communicating it's been part of the fun. The breakfast was buffet and continental but what else should I expect.. It was nice. The rooms are quiet and clean and the price is very reasonable. The village (it might be a medieval city) is perfecto... It has nice restaurants, pleasant bars, enough shops, a supermarket and history. It's location is excellent and right in the centre of this historic little place. I will definitely come back here again at some point for a less forced and less stressful holiday."
