"I was disappointed with open table. the hostess told me that in my reservation I would have called for a table in her dining room, which does not make any sense if I had reserved my week in advance for our jubilee. I was recommended that open tables generally reserved outside the tables, not dining tables."

"We were looking for a nice, sit down, brunch location for Mother's Day. In looking through their pictures, etc., it appeared that Breezeway Cafe fit the bill. Boy, were we wrong. This is a tiny shop with only two tables inside the front door and several tables outside in the.....breezeway between two buildings. After calling around to other restaurants and finding them all full, it looked like we were stuck with this spot. We did call Breezeway a couple of days prior asking to make reservations and were told they didn't take any now it made sense why they didn't. You order at the register and then go find your own table. The menu is fairly limited, but again, this is a tiny spot. They do have gluten free waffles, but frankly, they aren't very good. The burritos are pretty good, but not above average. We were pleased to see an extensive coffee bar menu, including alternative milks (soy, almond, oat, etc. , but they don't have decaf. What??? Seriously, if you are going to have a good coffee bar menu like that, have decaf too. It turned out to be a good Mother's Day, but more because of the company, rather than the food. This is a decent spot if you want coffee and ice cream in a puffy waffle while walking the streets of Pismo, but it really isn't a breakfast/brunch or lunch spot."
