"I had heard of this local company and that they had won a prize for their pasty pies at a contest in England. So I made a trek to the Ottawa Farmers Market at Lansdowne Park to scope them out.Turns out they sell frozen already cooked Pasty's that only require reheating.I bought a few from their sizeable menu and was blown away at how great they are.Steak & Guinness, Cornish and the English Breakfast were my favorites but even the more plain Cheese and Onion is fantastic. My only regret is that we can't get the company the rights to sell these during the Ottawa Fury Football matches at the stadium next door."

"We had a great dinner here. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was nice and cool. There were some vegetarian options and we landed on the tofu and the frit. I'm not a giant lens fan, so the Tofu was my Fave. We also have the chocolate dessert that was really beautiful!"

"We were in Ottawa for Canada's 150th Birthday and noticed the name of the pub. Then thought of Sir John A as the first prime minister of Canada and said how appropriate to eat at a pub with his name.The patio area was filled with young, talkative people. We decided to join the older, quieter guests inside the pub.The hostess offered us our choice of seating. The lively waitress served us a tasty lunch of a Thai Salad and a Chicken Pie with a Garden Salad topped with poppyseed dressing."

"After we had spent the morning around Ottawa, we wanted to find a nice place, but not too expensive to eat. It was because of the fish and chips. Was really impressed by the fish and chips here (I live in New Zealand and that was much better than anyone I had there!"
