"Had dinner out with friends during the week. Our server was attentive and pleasant but our food orders took a long time to arrive because of a large special group in one of the rooms. My food, as well as my wife's, left a lot to be desired. The Caesar salad was good but they sprinkled powdered Parmesan cheese on it instead of shaving real Parmesan as they used to do.My veal parm was very so so. I love veal but this dish left me wanting. The small piece of veal was overcooked and the breading was soggy. There was so little cheese on it I wondered if I had ordered the wrong thing. I suspect they kept the first dishes that were cooked back in the kitchen until all 8 meals could be served which allowed my meal to get soggy. Several of the our group commented that the food was not as good as it was in the past having slipped a couple of notches.Personally I will not return since there are other Italian restaurants in the area that are better for less money."

"That's great! I ordered an app (which never happened) from several choices I chose the beet salad that they cut everything fresh for me to ensure no cross contamination bonus. It was absolutely amazing! For dinner I ordered the Filet Mignon (no bacon, according to choice) with garlic lubricated and steamed vegetables They ensured that everything was cooked on clean dishes and a new batch of garlic was lubricated to ensure that there was no cross-contamination We were happy over the moon with this place! Next time In in Oshawa I will surely eat here! Bonus the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly If you have the chance to eat here, do it!"

"I'm not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing that this is the 2nd night in a row that all other choice restaurants in Oshawa are full and Shoeless Joe's had room for us but it was a good meal. Staff was quick with drinks and food. Salads and wraps were served quickly and were good. We were in and out quickly."

"This is a great spot for a large gathering for paint nite. There is a back room that can be kept private for this event and waitresses circulate amongst the attendees offering drinks. A very nice, relaxing evening. The lighting could be a little better, but we were just a bunch of women out for a fun evening, so it didn't matter all that much! Thanks Tartan Tavern for offering your venue for these events!"
