"We found ourselves touring this little town in the mountains on our way to Italy...The area seemed to be a cycling mecca. But since it i was a beautiful day we stopped for a drink...once we saw the menu we decided to stay. the cassoulet of pork belly with a delightful duck leg and beans was exquisite ...my girlfriend had a house made lasagna...also very really well crafted...the wine list was small but more than adequate...we had a great red that I can't remember that the server highly recommended...deserts were home made and wonderful... the prices were very reasonable and given the other selections of menus we saw in this area... the food seemed to the best available...I don't know when I would find myself back in this little corner of france, but if I were we would most definitely return"

"I was staying in Bourg with my son for four days leading up to the TDF. We ate at La Romanche every evening. The food was well presented and filling. Salads and burgers of a high standard: desserts excellent, I can vouch for the chocolate mousse! The staff were personal, efficient and careful despite the restaurant being full, mainly with other cycling types, every night. a good spot."
