"Such a gem of Omaha! Each dish on their menu is unique and you won't find it anywhere else. I was brought here by a local who is a regular patron who has loved everything they have tried. They make everything in house from scratch including their sausage. Their biscuits and gravy was delicious and the jalapeno jam was the perfect sweet touch to this savory dish. The potatoes were perfectly fried and I liked the flaked salt sprinkled on top. Very friendly staff and clean establishment. I'll be back next time in in Omaha!"

"V. Mertz has been a favorite place for me for six years. I love her menu and although it changes, you are always there for a big surprise! The food is excellent every time. The atmosphere there is also very romantic and perfect for a date night. David is usually our waiter and he is amazing! He is always at the top of things and even remembers the food we ordered last time! He goes beyond and beyond and makes our experience at V.Mertz the coolest!"

"Was working next door so stopped in for lunch. Food was a Generous proportion,extremely good, and fairly priced I think. I had the oxtail that they have on special and it was $12 for the giant bowl. Everyone inside was dressed business casual and I made a comment to the waiter that I should come back with a suit on. He replied telling me come one come all they accept everyone how they are. I’ll be bringing my wife back to try some more amazing food"

"Very good even if you have to pay for your own meal. This is a classic expense account joint. Been 3 times; last tie was on my own dime. Even though it was expensive, I felt like it was worth it Risotto was as good as any I have had anywhere. Lobster was good. Wife's steak was cooked to near perfection.
