"I am not sure why all the poor reviews. we love our neighborhood indian place and have been coming here for at least 15 years! the butter chicken is the best, and their tandoori is also amazing. the quality is great, and most important of all is that the food has always been consistent. love this place!"

"4.5 Stars! I ordered lamb kabobs and a side of basmati rice for takeout. It cost about $20 and included a small salad with a yummy ginger type dressing. The meal was totally delicious. The meat was a bit spicy, so do know that. The portion size was great. I even had some leftover. I would definitely eat here again."

"This might be my new favorite restaurants, hands down. I've always been a huge fan of Indian food, and I struggled finding solid restaurants in or around Berkeley UNTIL I stumbled across Khana Peena. Just a few blocks down from the Rockridge BART station, this quaint restaurant is so warm and cozy, with fantastic service. Immediately was happily greeted when I walked in and taken to a table. Everyone who worked there very kind, courteous, and gentle. Not to mention, this was some of the best Indian food I've had around Berkeley. One thing I really love about the dinner platter in particular is the VARIETY, not only do you get the main course, but you get rice, AND naan, AND lentils, AND grilled vegetables. It's quite fantastic and you can't get anything like this anywhere else near Berkeley/Oakland! I'll be back."

"This is not a target restaurant on any wise, but at least at the time when I was in the emeryville public market, it was the only restaurant with more than one dedicated vegan option. the whole market seemed quite depressed because of covid, with a series of empty stands. wazwans eating is already prepared and displayed behind the counter so that they can look before the selection. they had six vegan escapes, all quite standard Indian farewell, although it looks as if the majority of their menu is not veg. we tried a 3 article board, so we could taste several dishes, and they were all very tasty, and better than expected for a food dish, but not as tasteful as they would get in their own restaurant. the tellers come with rice and a small salate, the servier sizes are generous, and the prices are very reasonable."

"This place was not good. It?s a ghost kitchen setup with about 8 restaurants in the same place, which would be fine? if it was good. Samosas were the only thing we got that was decent. The dal was basically salt water, the chutney was marmalade, potatoeswere gummy and so salty in the aloo palak, portions were small. They also forgot the naan I ordered, thankfully I checked thebag before I left."
