"While they may not be considered Gourmet by many, Casper's Hot Dogs are one of the last bastions of old-school working-class American Cuisine in Oakland and the East Bay, and still maintain a lot of that value in their food. The way they put it together, the hot dog that is, small wedge of onion small wedge of tomato, maybe a little bit of mustard and relish, and a hot dog that snaps provides the perfect experience as you bite into a soft bun hit a hot onion and then have it cooled by the tomato, and then fighting into the snappy flavor of a delicious sausage, or hot dog, that is. You got to try this if you haven't because like some of the other places I review it's not going to be around forever. This is a piece of Oakland history."

"Hubby and I decided to try something new for dinner tonight. He had The Hot Chick, I decided to do something different and outside of my comfort zone and got the impossible nuggets. Wow! My taste buds! They were so flavorful and crispy. I had 10 but I could have easily had 10 more. My husband enjoyed his sandwich. He was disappointed it fell apart but he ate it with a fork and barely finished it. It was so much food and he got full so fast. We also enjoyed a side of tots and fries which were just as crispy as the chicken in his sandwich and my nuggets. We can't wait to try something else on the menu next time"

"This place was practically empty. I know it's a Casper Hotdog but to pay $8 for only a hotdog is pretty ridiculous. I ordered like 4 different types of hotdogs. The chili one was...not good. The others were pretty much bland at best. I'll just go to Costco for my Hotdog fixings...and it's only $1.50 plus it comes with a drink."

"Bier was good. that was terrible. they managed to scare a hot dog. yes, this is a fully burned bungalow that had the consistency and taste of the coal. I don't know how the cook and the server thought that was okay to serve like that."
