"Walked up to Maya Halal Taqueria and I started thinking I had made a mistake heading here. It is just a take out window (or two). I am so glad I went. Got three super tacos, two shredded chicken and one steak. Maybe the best tacos I have had. Theymight look small, but they are stuffed with meat, guacamole, sour crème, etc. I was happy and full when I was done. Got thechips and the spicy habanero sauce, homemade for both and excellent. The guy who took my order was very friendly and helpful,took less then 10 minutes to get food. I will go back again without doubt!"

"Ate at the pita spot. Used door dash and order was not processed. Ordered at counter and didnt know to give the ticket to the chef. He ended up fixing me up. Some of the best falafel ive had. Id recommend the plate over the wrap. Even though the wrap was delicious, the rice is also great. I need to go again to try more."

"I drop in to Marhabah Cafe whenever I'm in downtown Oakland. The food here tastes great. I've tried a few of their sandwiches and one of their plates and have been pretty happy with everything. Their falafel and hummus are top notch, and the staff are all friendly. Pictured is the chicken pesto panini because it's the only thing ai remembered to take a photo of.Otherwise, make sure you try their Arabic Turkish coffee. I crave that pretty consistently and this is one of the few places who make it well."

"Tried this takeout restaurant for the first time and the owner was quite friendly, and the menu had a good range of choices. Unfortunately, they did not have the lamb/beef kabob options today, so we opted for the gyro with fries, rice plate with braised beef, and potato bolani. Nearly everything seemed made to order with fresh ingredients. The gyro was excellent with well seasoned meat, soft pita and tasty toppings and good portion size. The rice was also excellent with succulent beef cubes, sweet raisins/currants, carrots and properly cooked rice--just wish there was more meat. The cucumber salad was fresh and a good compliment to the rice but would have benefited from a salad dressing. The potato bolani had good flavor and we should have also gotten the tougher dipping sauce. While there was a small outdoor sitting area, it is really a full takeout place and street parking is variable so plan accordingly. Overall, very good food and look forward to trying other dishes soon!"

"4.5 Stars! I ordered lamb kabobs and a side of basmati rice for takeout. It cost about $20 and included a small salad with a yummy ginger type dressing. The meal was totally delicious. The meat was a bit spicy, so do know that. The portion size was great. I even had some leftover. I would definitely eat here again."
