"Wow this place was awesome like a hidden gem. Drove by this shopping center many times never noticed it before. We stopped in for dinner it was amazing.The fish and chips were delicious and the Cole slaw was great. Large portions at a good price. Highly recommended this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed."

"November 2017 Athenian Restaurant, Tamiami Trl., North Fort Myers,Fl. Here is my 2 cents and chatter. This is an old skool proper eatery. They give you bread, soup or salad and a big filling entree at a reasonable price. I got a great split pea soup a salad. My meal was medium cooked lamb chops. Great veggies and mashed taters with a good gravy. Service was stellar. They do a outstanding breakfast. One of my favorites places June 2017 Athenian Restaurant, Tamiami Trail, N. Fort Myers, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food, a rant rave a bit of chatter. The Food. 9 bucks for a full ole fashion meal. In this case if you are german descent. Pork ribs with sauerkraut, mashed taters/gravy, house made coleslaw and housemade chicken noodle soup. Almost like mother use to make. It may not tickle your taste buds, BUT more than you needed it fills your belly without emptying your wallet. plus many other entrees at this price Soup was good. Rave... Good chow without breaking the bank. Rant...Too bad other places do not do this. Service was great... Makes you feel like you are at a home.. Olds school food. Well after several recommendations by folks I swim with at the community pool. I checked out this place. It was a Sunday around 1130 am. Place was half full You seat yourself. My waitress, Irene was Outstanding!. Explain the menu pointed out the special. told what she liked. Very personable. This is not a fancy place an OLD School basic food. An entrée comes with soup, salad, Greek is great roll, 2 sides and a dessert.. Menu has Lots of seafood, pasta ,large breakfasts, lamb shank meatloaf chicken fried steak, etc. . Service was good. If you are a calorie counter stay away. If you are hungry bring an appetite and a doggie bag. I will definitely return. Athenian Restaurant, N. Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers, FL., Growlings in the tummy and chatter. My food. Fried catfish cole slaw and fries.. OMG the perfect meal. Properly season and breaded with cornmeal. Fried to excellence. Cole slaw is crunchy and creamy no extra S/P needed. AAAHHHH yes the tantalizing soup of the day. A seafood bisque. In a tomatoe base creamy sauce. With chunks of different sea creatures. So good. This you will never find in a chain restaurant. A lunch deal at 9 Bucks... BIG portions... Big quality. DO NOT FORGET take home in house made baklava So sweet and so good. Excellent table service."

"Visited here on Thursday October 5th 2023 for some lunch and drinks..I was visiting from Philadelphia PA on vacation and I’ll definitely be back! Drinks were cold and refreshing and the burger I had was delicious. I also liked the cute parrot in the cage when I first walked in..his name was Blue. Very nice.. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Florida!"
