"Great cozy place in downtown L'Houmeau with a good menu deal (26€ for 3 courses in the evening)I recommend the fish croquant with red bell pepper sauce and the fish/seafood plate à L'Houméenne, and the Chocolate fondant for dessert."

"Came here for lunch as my son and daughter-in-law booked this as a surprise for my 70th birthday. It is a little off the beaten track but worth the effort to find it. Looking over a small marina on a beautiful day, this place is...lovely. We had salmon and oysters for starters, Tuna and fish and chips. The food is fantastic. The stafff very helpful and friendly, service was excellent away from the crowds and tourists, serving great seafood, definately worth a visit if you are in La Rochelle. Also away from the crowds and tourists."

"A nice discovery At the moment on the Houmeau we are rather accustomed to staying on La Rochelle and we have not been disappointed! Chouette place cosy Friendly staff warm welcome The salmon was excellent The eplan frying in very good size!!! The top child menu The delicious Spanish beans A good rosé ptt from here really top A beautiful view of the sea Little more the boss (I think) takes the time to speak with its customers at the time of the addition and advise them in the corner An address to share We will return to the next vacancy"

"Arrived at the beginning of the evening (20h00) we were certified that there were only two standing eaters to settle in the sun, the parasols are absent, why??????, it seemed that all the places in the shade under the tarpaulin were already reserved, and yet couples arrived after us were installed without having booked, we of course heard the words of the host lady!!! 20 minutes later no one was interested in us, no card was brought to us, visibly we were taken for tourists mouth-hole for the bad tables .................. the frame is null, a plastic tent without deco or gout, .pass your path and go to the neighbor of behind "coquillage and crustaceans" much better (see comments)"
