"Best pizza in the city hands down, and I say this as somewhat of a pizza snob. You can buy individual slices here, which should be at every pizza spot. Staff is great. Expect a wait during peak hours, but it's for a good reason."

"Had great expectations going here for the first time. But....Reheating pizza that’s been already made and sitting there? What’s fresh about that? Any pizzeria does that. Cutting with scissors supposed to be the gimmick? I don’t get it. Seems like a tourist trap in Rome has made its way over. The pizza I had was flavorless. I’ll give it another try next month to see if at least the culinary aspect has improved. The space is clean is about the only nice thing I can say. Ordering was a nightmare with the double ticket system."

"I spent the first 30 years of my life between NYC and Hartford. My favorite pizza is Pepe's, the marinara, from their New Haven oven. Ancora is the one of the best pizzerias I've been to. Ask for their italian liquers and house cellos, which might not be on the printed menu. Note their cheese selections, and that they are a salumaria."

"I think I found my new favorite restaurant! This unassuming restaurant serves up the most delicious food. The atmosphere and staff are full of character. Nathan was our server today, and was absolutely hilarious. He really made our experience shine. Order anything off the menu and I am sure you will be pleased. The food is plated beautifully, accented with color, and full of flavor. The hot and sour soup was probably the best soup I've ever had. DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP. Delicious, large portions for very reasonable prices, delightful staff, and inviting art. I will be back!"
