"Cafe Maspero is a must when coming to New Orleans. The price was right and the portions were huge. Six of us shared 3 fried sea food platters. We were stuffed and couldn?t finish them even sharing with others at the table. I?m not a fish/seafood fan normally but would order the gulf fish again in a heartbeat. AND the hush puppies were prepared perfectly. Our waitress took fantastic care of us. Wish I could remember her name to give her props. If we weren?t alreadyplanning to try different cuisine every night I?d eat there the rest of our trip."

"The food here was absolutely delicious. The hummus and baba ghannouj were excellent and the cheese pie I had was great. The negatives were the slow service, we had to wait a long time for drinks and we ordered the appetizer Mona?s special, which has a variety of items. We only received part of the order even after our entrees came out and we finished everything. Seems they were just short staffed and overwhelmed with lunch rush. In any case, the food was so good, stop in a try it!"

"This little deli has amazing gumbo. It is spicy and savory. I recommend the Muffletta Sandwich and gumbo. The sandwich is the city’s version of a cold cut. It has oil, so passes for a cold cut to north-easterners. They need to work on the cleanliness of the store, which is why I only rated them with 3 stars. The service was chaotic, but controlled. The employees are polite and eager to help. At the time of this review, the store advertised free delivery within the French Quarter."

"Love Zara's but very disappointed with the Deli Service on today. Tried to place an order for Oyster PoBoy and Fries but the arrogant guy that answered phone told me that the grease was dirty. Tried to get an understanding of what he was trying to convey, which did not make matters any better. He continued to say that the grease was dirty. This makes me question the cleanliness of the DELI Department. I'm a long-time customer of Zara's. Not sure who this person is but hedefinitely needs some talking to because he is jeopardizing this Family Business"

"Visiting a friend and he took us here for lunch. My fiesta salad was amazing and I couldn't resist the German chocolate brownie that melted in my mouth. I highly recommend getting lunch here, but come early as it gets busy during lunch time."
