"Unfortunately, when I made the reservation, I was unaware of the inside dining room (which was full and the outside dining area which looked more consistent with a tavern bar food setup. There were two open flame (non vented rather propane burners with that not so appetizing smell of said propane. The area was stuffy and not acceptable for the food 's price point. Now the food. Good but the portions were tiny. I mean really small. I 've seen this trend (albeit, not been out much in recent years due to COVID in smaller and smaller fish portions (maybe 4 oz? At 38 bucks for Monkfish, the dish looked laughable. My wife ordered a beef dish which was far hardier in the amount of beef and sides. My son had risotto and, as cheap as those ingredients are, his dish was small (not quite tiny . Lastly, his girlfriend had the black cod which was, dare I say, tiny again. I would happily pay at hefty price for a meal which would leave me satisfied but not stuffed. Happily. But Geist just did not deliver that experience the evening we dined. Don 't think we will return (hopefully this was a one off evening and you will fare far better ."

"Located at Houston station, the place looks hip with friendly staff. The place serves awesome coffee. I had a latte and it was the closest to what you get at a cafe in Europe. The place also serves great cocktails and some finger food. A definite recommend for coffee and chilling out."

"This is my 4th time at LAC. Manny is a great guy, always so friendly, curious, and appreciative of his customers.The food is so damn good. The menu is fresh and not your typical selection when it comes to Mexican restaurants, each time I’ve went I’ve tried something new and it’s always amazing. It’s always fresh, well portioned, and cooked in front of you within a reasonable amount of time. The sauces that come with the meal are full of flavor and delicious.The restaurant is clean and well maintained, with a welcoming and fresh decor and a hole-in-the-wall kinda vibe.Today I had the Pambazos and it was maybe my favorite I’ve had there so far. The bread was fresh and locally made, and I mixed chicken and chorizos. Highly recommended.Don’t sleep on this place! You will not regret coming here."
