"My wife and I had dinner in Le Moderne on our second night in France on the recommendation of our hotel. When we went to the restaurant to book, we met a French couple finishing their lunch who encouraged us strongly to dine there, psaying...it was the best restaurant in town. For English speakers, language is not a problem the proprietors, a young couple, had spent months back-packing in Australia. Their English is excellent. We both had dos de cabillaud (a fish dish) for main course. This was absolutely outstanding in my opinion perhaps the best fish that I have ever eaten. Our sweets (a deconstructed peach tart and ice-creams) didn't reach such stratospheric levels, but were nevertheless very good indeed. If you are in Montelimar looking for an excellent French restaurant with reasonable prices where any lack of French would not be a problem, Le Moderne would be for you."
