"Absolutely lovely spot for a date night or client dinner. Atmosphere was energetic but upscale, with excellent service. Our server checked in on us every few minutes and we are so glad to have followed her recommendations. The entree off the non pizza menu was delicious and unusual without being unapproachable, and the pizza was some of the best we have ever had especially impressive as it did not have the soggy middle some woodfired pizza tend to have with a runny sauce. We were skeptical of the softserve dessert but after our first bites...we were speechless. Please try this, it will redefine what an ice cream dessert can be. Overall wonderful experience, looking forward to our next visit."

"Great bar and local venue located in Dinkytown. The drinks are very cheap, but well made. Highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys dive bars, a atmosphere perfect for conversation and local music. The music was fantastic and the people who were there to support the local artist were friendly and well behaved. 5 stars without a doubt!"

"We stopped for dinner drinks because a friend, Jay Roberts, was playing on stage that evening (great show! . Lovely for a date, the atmosphere was lamplit, a bit rustic/eclectic, and cozy. (I 've heard great things about the patio in the summer, but that ship has sailed for this year. I ordered the winter pear salad, which was fresh and quite enjoyable--lots of good flavors and textures...a moderate but satisfying portion. My date 's basil flatbread (a round, thin-crust cheese pizza, lol was alright but basic. Vegetarians, you 'll likely be able to find something suitable and very palatable, albeit peripheral, on the menu. Unless you want a hummus plate, I fear my plant-based friends may be out of luck. I was happy with my meal and would probably visit again, but the signature dishes were meat-based, a surprising missed opportunity for a contemporary menu. If you 're going to order a drink, the chartreuse swizzle the cucumber cutie were excellent."

"Food was descent (garlic fries weren't hot), I had the prime rib sandwich (same meat as the Philly cheese steak my buddy had), garlic fries and tea.. Service was good, clean restrooms, great atmosphere."

"First encounter with food the bread was doughy. Severely underbaked? Server too causally blew it off as kitchen mistake . No offer to bring a new portion. Really surprised, as this seemed out of ordinary for Red Stag."
