"We didn’t book, so was lucky to get the little nook in the corner around 5pm. Then they did get busy, but the main manager was efficient, she did kinda fly off mid service to our table, overall it was pretty good and we enjoyed the very very fast meal! "Grew up here and the food is still amazing to thus day rooms are amazing well cleaned and maintained and the location is beautiful the staff are all kind and welcoming Food drinks: The food is absolutely amazing I've tried their steak and their pulled pork burger and they are the bomb Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value"

"Delicious food!! Delighted to find this addition to the Methven restaurants. Fab Donburi, Teriyaki chicken, the pork belly was lush tofu option looked good too. It’s a cute little restaurant and they do takeaway. High recommended. Vegetarian options: Fried tofu option for all the main dishes, plus veggie dumplings. Kid friendliness: They were very happy to accomodate our fussy child, with plain rice, and putting mayo only on half the chicken and pork. Thank you!"

"$15 for the smallest kebabs I 've ever seen in my life. Lovely staff but yeah a kebab and $15 is meant to fill you up and I 'm still hungry as. A friend had warned me not to get their pizzas either as they were pricey, small and had barely any toppings but she enjoyed their burgers so yeah gave kebabs a try. Very disappointing. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner"

"The best dumplings I have had in a while. The filling is juicy with a lot of flavour. It’s a food truck in Methven. Look out for a purple food truck that’s open just a couple days a week! They also have some yummy ramen/noodle soup options. Perfect for when the winds pick up. Loved it!"

"We are regular visitors to Shackleton's, and it never disappoints! The wine and drink list is extensive, as is the menu. Our highlights include the arancini ball starter, the lamb rump, and the salmon. We have also had delicious pizzas here, both dine in and takeaway. The salmon pizza and pulled pork pizzas were our favourites. A bonus, Shackleton's are also part of the First Table promotion. Great service, good for kids too, warm and cosy atmosphere and breathtaking views of the mountains."

"Cosy place for dinner. We had two pasta dishes and both were very good! Good wine selection too. If you are staying at the resort, they also serve drinks to the spa! The mulled wine is perfect to drink in the spa after a day in the snow!"
