"Not the best thing I ever had and did not definitiw the worst. I got the brisket plate and thought they took me in discs. very thin discs with not much taste. the woman was pulled pork and it was dry. and mac-n cheese were moderate. the sauces were good. we came for a late lunch so that the line wasn't long, but eating came fast. many seats and a large selection of local beers!"

"This is a place off the beaten path in an alley walla here it is a cute small outside. A warm inviting interior. Greeted with a hello welcome. The interior is very clean deco is great. We started with a beer catfish bites. They are the best. Light ,fluffy alot of them. Next the bbq ribs are fabulous, tender, moist,meaty served with a side of tasty sauce. Comes with 2 sides which are good. The service is friendly,happy , prompt. Probably the best kept secret off Beale Street. A couple of blocks from the Peabody hotel. Go enjoy you won't be disappointed. Parking: The entrance is off the main street very small sign for 4 -5 business. "We had fantastic food and impeccable service. I especially enjoyed the mocktail, the fried oysters (served on stone-ground grits that were to die for), beet salad and the gulf fish. Tried this place out of pure chance on a random Wednesday night with my colleagues and was truly amazed. A gem."

"In a recent trip to Memphis, it was a shame to see loud obnoxious annoying dubstep and profanity laden rap music blaring incessantly from what probably used to be a classy club featuring live rock n roll and blues music acts. Nobody with any senseof musical culture dared set foot in or dwell around the club as the atmosphere was anything but classic Beale Street. We wentto BB King 's where you could still find music properly representing Beale Street and the foundational music of Memphis. It wascompletely uninviting and poorly run. What a shame! If The Killer still owns the club on Beale bearing his name, I wonder ifhe even knows that 's what they 're doing. A club with the name Jerry Lee Lewis ' Cafe and Honky Tonk should be playing anythingBUT what it was."

"We got in, at just after 5. We timed it perfectly. We were seated immediately and our dining area was empty but quickly filled in 10 minutes. We beat the rush of people coming from the Peabody duck parade. I also called about a week before. She said they seat 450. Call for reservations bigger than 5. I had the brisket and my husband had ribs. Everything came fast and was amazing. We loved the beans and slaw too. We had a great experience. Definitely will be ordering sauce offline."
