"No need to make this trip to Japan to experience the tasting of A5 Japanese Wagyu. Wagyu melts in your mouth. We had a tasting plate showing different cuts. We were lucky and we sat in a private room that makes the whole experience so much special. We also ordered the sashimi plate, tempura, mentaiko salmon sushi. The sashimi cuts are so fresh and they take care of the number of people in the group. This means that the pieces have been adapted to the number of persons in our party to ensure that everyone gets a piece and the food is shared equally. We had someone who cooked our beef to make sure it is cooked with the right technique. Be ready to pay for dollars, but it is worth it!"

"Purple Peanuts is my favourite place around Southern Cross to eat and to recommend to tourists who pass through my work. Not only do they make the best tuna and vegetable onigiri (I hope the spelling is right!) balls but the chicken curry is a favourite of mine! Staff are always friendly and efficient, and who doesn't love a place that lets you have as much pickled ginger as you want!"

"We went here on a Saturday night with a group of friends; all of our friends were regulars here and mentioned they keep coming here for quality sushi - I don't blame them - the sushi was awesome!The restaurant setting itself was average, the wait staff were ok, one of the dishes was significantly delayed, but it came out after we followed up twice. Overall, it's a place I recommend and I look forward to visiting soon."

"We stopped in here as we were late for another booking at a very busy restaurant. We didn't realise it wasn't a typical Japanese restaurant and mainly served grill on the table. The staff were absolutely lovely and with our limited time before our theatre show we shared a few entree plates that were great. It was lovely to sit at a table and not be crowded and the staff so attentive."
