"After landing at 8pm on Xmas eve, many eateries were already closed. This place was, however, still open and was recommended by friends. Steamed chicken was disappoitiing and dumpling noodles waa forgettable.The Unagi & Bacon Fried Rice caught my attention while browsing and it was indeed most spectacular and special. Very delicious! Roast duck and fish head soup were well done too"

"Had a date night here with hubby and couldn't have been more satisfied with the food, drinks, service and overall environment of the restaurant. It was a busy Friday night, there were some special cocktails and they were delish. We ordered wagyu beef, chicken wings, hand- made tofu, barramundi fillet and the Wonton in chill sauce. All of them tasted so good. Our waitress was super lovely as well. Very prompt, polite and friendly. The restaurant is very relaxing, decor is pleasant and accompanied by cool music."

"Have you ever checked out a progressive dinner? It is a fab idea to try 3 restaurants in one night!<br/ <br/ What an absolutey gorgeous restraunt with elegant furnishing and beautiful relaxin ambience. Did you know that they are one of the longest serving restaurant on Southbank with over 20 years service!<br/ <br/ We participated in the progressive restaurant and we came here for our mains we enjoyed the beef and black pepper shallots along with the Red Emperor Mandarin Chicken with thr sweet blend of plum and grounded black bean sauce, this was my favourite meal for the night.<br/ <br/ Now along with the attentive service we also enjoyed the 2016 Mud house sauvignon blanc and the 2017 St Hallet Black clay shiraz too.<br/ <br/ Lovely atmosphere with gorgeous views of Southbank.<br/ <br/ Thank for the invite."

"Never judge a book by its cover; this very plain & old looking Chinese restaurant is one of the best when it come to great tasting, fresh, & clean food. They are popular with locals for as reflected by the many takeaway customers who keep coming every night, but I would eat it fresh while it's hot.This very small venue 12x seats & 5x counter stools where you can watch your food cook. Crispy fried chicken & garlic beef has to be the best combo."

"Old Kingdom recently moved to Richmond and they’re still doing excellent Peking Duck. Crispy, juicy and delicious. It was hard to get the waiter’s attention during the busy period so it can feel like you’re not getting the attention you deserve at a restaurant but they make up for it with their delicious no fuss food."

"We came here for a late night snack after karaoke and I’m not sure if it was because I was starving or sobering up but it was the best Chinese food ever . We got the fried rice , Chinese sausage , fried chicken , beans and mince all so delicious and the best thing is this place is open til super late"

"Wow, great environment, super tatsy food, nice staffs. We had Bibimbaps, one with beef and the other one with tofu. They both were tatsy and nice. Inside the restaurant is quite beautiful and cosy. The only downside of this restaurant is the price of foods which was quite expensive."

"I actually got a delivery as I was having a lazy day. I rarely leave reviews unless it's exceptionally good or bad. The delivery was quick which was good! And the starters we got of prawn toast and spring rolls were lovely. The lemon chicken wasn't what I was expecting, as it was deep friend chicken with a seperate side of lemon, but I embraced it! I saw then that they had given, not only free prawn crackers but some kind of soup... It looked a bit like chicken, the smell was... Questionable, but it was free so I was greatful. We then looked at the duck fried noodles (im guessing this is why we got the free "soup") they were completely burnt, to the point the noodles were near carsenegenic, the sauce was kind of congealed at the bottom, and left me feeling really rather quite sick. I know a lot of the other reviews here are very good, I don't know weather I just got a bad batch or weather im just not used to "fried" noodles, but I certainly won't be eating here again. I've spent $30 on food and most of it unfortunately, will be going in the bin."

"We were touring the Chinatown. We visited Urbanspoon to find restaurant in the Chinatown with favourable review and we were led to this restaurant that is hidden off an alley. We stepped into the restaurant desiring to taste the signature dishes written on a signboard....The waiter and waitress greeted and served us with smile and patience. The signature dishes on the menu look mouth-watering and they didn't disappoint on the plate. The bill came and the price was reasonable. Our entire dining experience was wonderful. This restaurant definitely deserved a recommendation. PS: Perhaps the downside of this restaurant is that it is rather hard to locate.But do find it nonetheless, you wont regret doing so."
