"Not quite sure where to begin except to say that our meal at Sacha in Estepona Port proved to be the most surreal, disappointing and absurd restaurant meal of my entire 44 years of existence. Here goes... We were looking for an Indian restaurant in the Estepona Port area for a Mother 's Day lunch for a total of eleven persons and came across the excellent reviews of Sacha on Trip Advisor. It was based on these reviews that I made the reservation. There have evidently been many changes in the intervening months since the last favourable review. The restaurant appears to be in a semi dormant state, with a 'For Sale ' sign outside and an uninviting feel at what is left of the place. One look sufficed for some of us to suggest going elsewhere, but as we had a reservation and they were already setting up the table, we decided to do the right thing wrong thing, as it transpired and stay. I asked which Indian beers they had. None , was the reply, only Cruzcampo . Some members of the party ordered Diet Cokes. About five minutes later the waitress returned to tell us they had no Diet Cokes. We ordered poppadoms, vegetable samosas and a prawn puri for starters. The waitress left without taking down our mains. A while later she returned and informed us that there were no vegetable samosas. We 'll have lamb samosas instead , I said. The waitress then said they had no samosas whatsoever, nor poppadoms. That really ought to have been our cue to pay for our drinks and leave for an Indian restaurant to have no Cobra or other Indian beer or Diet Coke was unusual but hardly disastrous; but the lack of samosas or poppadoms listed in the menu but unavailable on the day was unacceptable. We then proceeded to order our mains, which included a number of lamb dishes. A few minutes later, the waitress returned. We have no lamb . We could only ordered prawn or chicken dishes. By this point we were bemused and found the whole thing funny, opting to take it on the chin rather than make a huge fuss. We re ordered. The young waitress a pleasant enough lady but inexperienced slipped next to our table and fell badly on the floor. We helped her up and asked how she was but she said she was fine. Later, when bringing over some of the korma dishes, she slipped again, with two chicken korma and one prawn korma dishes literally flying through the air. Some fell on a three year old child 's arm but luckily the sauce was not hot enough to burn him. The rest of the sauce fell on the wall, and on various of our coats, shoes and trousers. No attempt by any member of staff to help clean our clothes so we had to go to the bathroom or make do with 'baby wipes ' to at least partially remove the korma sauce from our clothes and shoes. One employee did try to clean up the floor with a mop, but opted to kick the bucket to move it along, resulting in quite a lot of water being splashed onto the floor and our feet. I am sure plenty of people would at that point have got up and left without paying we saw the funny side of it and laughed. The lashings of korma sauce on the wall remained there throughout and no attempt was made to clean it. The food itself what little there was of it was not bad, but a little disappointing. The naan bread was extremely greasy; my prawn jalfrezi was too creamy and the prawns clearly frozen. The pilau rice was fine, as was the cheese naan. We overheard the table next to ours asking for the dessert menu and being told there were no desserts, so we went elsewhere for desserts and coffees. The owner eventually came to our table to 'apologise ' but all he did was blame the waitress, who he described as not professional . I told him, very respectfully, that the food that we had had was okay on the whole but that the issue was not really the waitress but rather the fact that they had no samosas, no poppadoms and no lamb. The owner came up with a strange reply, saying that he only likes to use fresh lamb and because they can never get hold of it at the weekends, they never have lamb on Sundays. ?!?!?!? The bill came to 175 Euros. A member of our party asked for a discount but the owner said that was not possible. So, to recap: No Indian beer. No Diet Coke. No vegetable samosas. No meat samosas. No poppadoms. No lamb dishes whatsoever. Korma sauce on our coats, trousers and shoes. Korma sauce on the wall. Korma sauce and water puddle under the table. No discount. We did get a two euro bottle of wine as we left.... One out of five but only because zero is not an option. Beyond terrible. Basil would have been pleased."

"Yesterday, we went to this place and had some delicious food. In the quest of finding best Indian Restaurant in Europe, this one is clearly in top-3. We ordered Kadai Paneer, Dal Tadka and Baingan Bharta with Garlic Naan, Butter Naan and Parantha layered). I will start with Kadai Paneer- the curry was cooked nicely and it had bell-peppers in it. For me that's the way to identify the authenticity. The peppers were also charred. The dal tadka was smooth and very comforting. The Baingan Bharta was just like the real one and not middle-eastern type. The Naan were not chewy and it felt like that the dough used for Naan and Parantha was fermented. Breads were super soft. I am upset with the quantity ~100 ml) of Raita 4-5 euros). We ordered 1L Tinto de Verano and it was also smooth. For dessert, we ordered Gulab Jamun and they were warm and juicy. I really liked the fact that they also give you small glasses of Mango Lassi to finish your meal. The service was quick and the server of ours was super nice to us I forgot the name). I think if you want to satisfy your cravings for some nice indian food, this place is a must try. The city is full of some really expensive Indian restaurants and I doubt if they are as good as this one. They just need some outside space to improve their environment and atmosphere."
