"Madison's Museum of Contemporary Art is a wonderful building for a number of reasons. Firstly, the price of admission: whatever you can afford to donate. Not just students, but anyone can visit without having to pay. Secondly, the building itself is a fitting and gorgeous space, tired together with a large and well-kept glass staircase serves as a showcase of it's own, as the quality of the view out of the multi-story glass panels increases with every step. Each gallery is unique, and the building embraces this in the exhibits. Finally, there is the roof garden which boasts sculptures and an impressive view of State Street below. Really a wonderful space in which to enjoy art or the city of Madison, itself."

"Amazing service! Tried a new drink (cocktail) great recommendation from server. Big thanks to sterling and Bridget for ALWAYS going the extra mile, Bridget is my favorite bartender, she greats me by name and always knows my choice if drink without asking! They both deserve a raise!!"

"Half Thai Chicken Flatbread was delicious! No shortage of toppings. Swapped the BBQ chicken sandwich for a burger patty. Classic bacon cheeseburger with a nicely upgraded cut of beef. Very juicy and tasty!! Prime Rib Sandwich could’ve used a little horseradish in the horseradish cream, but still a very nice sandwich. Sweet potato fries are fantastic! Managed to stay HOT the entire time we were eating our sandwich and burger."

"My new favorite place on State. For around $10, you get a choice of protein, rice/greens, and sauces for the protein and base. It's extremely filling and tastes fresh. Plus the grill marks are for real. Combos let you try more protein options (combo A or a side (combo B . Their drinks are unique and flavored real sugar cane. I like the green apple flavor. I've come enough to get almost two free meals from their loyalty card! :"

"Great place for brunch in Madison! The portions are generous and the choices cater to all parties. They support other local businesses for coffee, tea and other options on the menu. Everything is made in house and is absolutely delicious. If you?re looking for a one of a kind place that makes everything in house this is your place. 6 ate for about $140 with drinks. Their Bloody Mary?s and other brunch drinks were delicious."

"I wanted to love this place and waited for months to get a reservation but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to the hype. I will say that the food was beautifully plated, innovative and diverse. The atmosphere is lovely. The chef/owners are down to earth, it’s not stuffy like other fine dining and the vibe is playful. The music is 90’s hip hop and rap which is surprising but fun! The service is great and they are very accommodating to dietary restrictions. I can’t eat shellfish and they have gluten free menu options too!My biggest issues with the meal were two dishes were extremely over salted which is very disappointing. I have a high salt tolerance so this is not something I usually complain about. Second, the venison was super tough and they did not serve it with knives so it was a strange experience to eat. I ended up picking it up with my hands which was fine and fits the vibe of this place. I was a fan of the chocolate mole pairing but that might just be preference. I felt like it over powdered the venison.Two dishes were amazing: the pea soup with cream and a pesto and the Romain boat with grapefruit! I also quite liked the custard dessert which was so creative but I thought the custard needed more citrus to cut the sweetness.My final qualm is environmental/ethical. The menu was very neat focused which is fine but almost everything was flown in from crazy far away places. It felt like a strange disconnect after the chef talking about how they love nature and foraging but then the main ingredient in each dish was from thousands of miles away. So many nice restaurants in madison use farm to table locally available meat and produce u was disappointed that nook didn’t consider their environmental impact more."
