"If you love visiting historical pubs this is one to visit!! I have never visited a place where I have talked about it over and over again to family friends about it’s history and it’s paranormal activity! The barmaid was lovely and welcoming and...showed myself and partner around areas of the pub and told us about the pub. Landlord was fantastic to tell us all interesting activity he has experienced and really got our attention, we are very grateful for the experience they gave us. Pub itself is a typical English pub with history! Don’t expect a gastro pub as it has its qwerks to keep the history alive!! drinks were lovely with plenty of choice! We will definitely be visiting again!! THANK YOU team at Bate hall Macclesfield !!"

"This was the most disappointing experience My colleagues and I ordered sausage bacon and egg barm and 2 Vienna rolls the eggs and sausages had obviously been sitting around since 7am yesterday the bacon was dry the rolls had obviously been defrosted and was going hard as bread does This was charged for twice on Uber eats Aroma this is very disappointing as we can see you from where we work and will never order again due to the obvious poor quality of the food The driver was stared as Adrianas with a female picture and a man delivered our order We will be looking for a refund"

"Eating here is really nice, the selection of tapas available is good and the quality is high. the staff are very friendly and welcoming, depending on the size of their group they wish to book before, it is cozy inside and it seems to be popular. the bar, although small, is quite well equipped with a good selection of drinks. on the back is a seat area in the free. I would recommend it and will return."
