"We were not planning on going to Dole. Our car broke down and we found ourselves there for the day. After walking into the heart of town, we chose this restaurant for some lunch. What a lucky choice! This place is FANTASTIC! The server was very kind and attentive. We ordered the special of the day even though he could not translate it into English. It turned out to be the most delicious mussels we've ever had! For dessert we tried the chocolate mousse terrine, which was delicious. We cannot recommend this place highly enough."

"It was lunch time in a terribly hot day - 32 deg C( about 90 deg F ).It seems that in that town restaurants owners are used to rich clients that pay any price, because there was nowhere Menu Du Jour ( the French lunch time deal of menu of the day ). All restaurants we saw were expensive for what was offered. A young man that works at the tourist information office in city center recommended us that restaurant.Not only didn't they have air conditioning, they didn't have even ventilators and the heat was terrible, but that was the situation in all other restaurants.The food was just average and expensive. Main course + dessert = 15.90 Euro !! For that price you get in all other cities in the region a full meal including cheese and wine.There was not even salt on the table, I had to ask for.At rest room there were no paper towels or hands drier, there was a fabric ordinary towel hanging on a hook. Does the restaurant owner expect customers to use that towel that everybody else used before? We are in 2013 !Customers need air conditioning, customers do not have to suffer from heat because the owner refuses to pay for air conditioning!Customers need something hygienic for drying their hands, not to use a disgusting used towel because the owner refuses to pay for paper towels or hand drier.Restaurants are open in France at lunch time only from 12 to 14, so it's only 2 hours of electricity consumption, but they refuse to pay even for 2 hours and make their customers suffer.We do not recommend that city at all, skip."

"A small busy restaurant full of locals enjoying simple local pizzas. We were lucky to get a table without booking, lots of people later than us were turned away. Lots of traditional pizza varieties but also lots of local specialities make sure you try...any of the crème fraiche based ones, especially with potatoes. Friendly service in fact all the people we met in Lons le Saunier were really friendly, spoke french so clearly and carefully that even I could understand them, I didn't have to resort to english at all in the town."

"Pour un déjeuner d'affaires, c'était un repas correct et les plats ont été servis rapidement. Cependant, la qualité de la nourriture était variable car le filet de volaille était très bon et tendre, mais la crème brûlée ne faisait que 2 à 3 centimètres d'épaisseur, il y avait limite plus d'épaisseur de sucre caramélisé que de crème ! Enfin, les prix pour le menu du jour sont corrects, nous en avons eu pour 15€ par personne sans café mais avec un verre de vin inclus."
