"We were there with friends and ordered the community meal to try all things and all agreed that it is very delicious. The foods are fantastic, without excessively cloudy. The food simply tastes great, the sauces are perfectly matched to the dishes or portions and, if you have the meat, it has been sweet on each floor. The waiters were attentive and friendly, the atmosphere very pleasant. The cocktails were also really good, not too much ice cream as you know from other cocktail bars. The interior is lovingly matched without having to look cheerful, so everything in a place where you can eat with friends."

"We stayed here with a group of staff to celebrate a birthday.First of all not everybody were totally sure with "african"/"euthiopian kitchen".But after the dinner the whole group were amazed.It is something different then a steak, a pizza or some pasta.The food was just incredible delicious, fresh, light and varied.Some unknown herbs and spices. Unknown vegetables.And a different way to eat. With your hands and not with fork and knife.All that together creates a wonderful atmosphere on the table.We had different platters. HUGE !!! everyone could pick something of all.The staff were very friendly and helpful in showing us how to eat.Always good for a joke and fun bringing.The restaurant itself is cozy and dark.Interior is modern with a touch of african decoration.Could be a bit more authentic.The outdoor seats in the backyard seemed very cozy.Overall, it is not just a dinner, it is something to discover.HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE!Try it and you will love it!"

"I've been driving past Selam for years without remembering. I thought it was a typical Veedels pub when I didn't look closely. Only through an evaluation portal I became aware of it. Since I had never eaten Ethiopia, I was curious and curious about the food in Selam. The visual impression was positive, the place seems pleasantly reluctant and modern, not overloaded at all. However, we have already noticed an unusually intense food smell during income. We were welcomed by a young woman who was very friendly and comprehensively advised in the selection of foods. We ordered a vegetarian dish and a mild beef dish. The dish was quite delicious, but by a decoration chili, whose cores lost in the dish, then unfortunately very sharp. Injera was served as a supplement to both dishes, a kind of cold crêpe that was so upset. They take pieces from the Injera and take the sauce. On request you will also receive a spoon to eat. This supplement is also the reason for my rather mediocre assessment because I couldn't win the Injera, I didn't like it at all. For my taste, this supplement also did not fit the dish. Unfortunately, however, every dish at Selam is served with this supplement. Conclusion: Interesting cuisine, friendly staff and worth a visit. Anyone who comes with the Injera, unlike me, has the opportunity to meet a completely different kitchen. Another note on the edge: I don't know if the kitchen had problems with aeration on the day of our visit, but after our visit we came very intensively after fat and the smell remained for several days on everything we had worn with us this day."
