"As locals, we occasionally purchase take-away pizzas from Jack Loves Red to mix up our dining options. Our initial experience in this regard was very good. The quality was there in terms of taste and mixture, and the service attentive. recently, the service has...remained good but the quality of the take-away pizza has dropped significantly. Our last purchase was bland and little better than a budget offering from other companies. Not recommended under current arrangements"

"Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, The Picnic Basket has a generous menu, great service, lots of local produce and a nice bright airy space. I had the apple salad which was lovely, will definitely be back and would recommend!"

"Excellent coffee and pide bread, and my children tell me that hat the sausage rolls and muffins are good too. Having a roll made up means that it can be veganised (make sure you choose a plain wrap or roll as some have egg wash)"

"Went for a pre Christmas family lunch today (9 of us) as I'd been a couple of times 2 or 3 years ago and always found the service and food good so booking was on my recommendation. Think 6 or 7 of us ordered the fish and then told later that there was only one serving available so we had to make different choices. After ordering we waited an hour for the food to arrive, needless to say we were all getting quite hungry by then as well as a bit agitated. There was another table of about 10, another with 6 and one with 4 so definitely not busy. When the food did finally arrive, must say some of the dishes certainly didn't appear at all appetising (especially the gnocchi and the duck). Dishes were slow coming to the table and those served first were waiting for everyone else to be served before starting and consequently their meals were getting cold. Every single meal except one (steak, chips and salad) were disgusting, almost inedible. 6 of the dishes were left half eaten and the 2 gnocchis weren't eaten at all apart from a couple of mouthfuls. It was evident from the half eaten (or less) plates taken from the table that the meals were totally disgusting. On pointing this out to one of the young staff, his non reaction indicated he was obviously not able to deal with this criticism (which was delivered in a perfectly courteous non threatening manner). A more senior female waitress was apologetic and indicated that the total bill would be reduced but when it came time to pay, this wasn't done even though it was queried and were told it couldn't be done then whatever that meant. I was not aware of this until told later and can only assume we were charged the full amount with no compensation whatsoever. I was sooo embarrassed that I'd suggested this venue and everyone, with the exception of the steak eater, left hungry!! To have 8 out of the 9 meals uneaten speaks for itself."

"I’m so impressed with the takeaway we had tonight! Restaurant quality eaten in our own home. We had the pulled pork pasta and a chicken parmigiana with fries and slaw. Both amazing and matched with a Tasmanian wine that we collected from here as well. The service was exceptional and all done with warmth and a smile. Keep up the great work guys at such an uncertain time. We will be back soon :"
