"Best carpaccio I've had. Meat was very full of flavor! In addition, a steak tartare also with perfect texture and fresh meat taste. Waiter was very friendly, despite the fact that we only arrived at 21.50 and the kitchen closed at 22.00, we were able to choose something at our leisure. Nice restaurant very big, which you can't see from the garden. Prices are reasonable."

"This review pertains not to Hotel “Bohlerstern” as a whole, but solely to its restaurant, where hotel guests as well as all other customers are served. We went to eat there on a weekday evening. Most tables remained empty during out visit. We were seated in the main dining hall decorated with taste in a style that is both rustic and classic, without looking old-fashioned. The service matched the furniture and might also be called classic. Thick cloth napkins and huge underplates as well as very large, elegantly designed menus rendered this superior impression complete. This restaurant offers international cuisine with strong emphasis on Austrian and in particular on Styrian dishes.After having ordered we were served a basket of bread along with a creamy spread and a little later we received an amuse gueule consisting of small pieces of vegetables in aspic. Thus, “Bohlerstern” appears to be ambitions and evidently strives to be a high-class restaurant. However, neither the appetizer nor the main courses, which arrived after a very reasonable delay, were convincing. They were definitely not bad, but lacked taste and did not justify their high prices at all.All in all, “Bohlerstern” is a good restaurant, but with respect to its culinary performance it is markedly overpriced. This is a pity since we really enjoyed the great atmosphere and the excellent service it provides and spent a nice evening there."

"The restaurant “Saigon” is located on a main street, but can easily be overlooked. his interieur was decently designed without being loaded with Asian decorations. we felt comfortable there. the menu was comprehensive and, apart from the names of the dishes, looked more like that. from a Chinese than from a Vietnamese restaurant. Unfortunately, since its sides were protected by some sticky plastic bags in a plastic folder, its look was not pleasant. it was divided into sections of chicken, pork and bark dishes, etc. and a separate section of specialities. for us as not initiated, even the special dishes were not recognizable, as typical Vietnamese from their descriptions. we were pleased to be aware that our meals were at least partly freshly prepared after we had placed our orders. so the waiting period was somewhat longer than in the numerous ultra-fast Chinese restaurants, but still moderate. in contrast to the latter, however, not everything tasted almost the same. in the opposite, eating was really savory and additionally the portions were very large. the dame, which led this restaurant along with its man and provided the service was shy, yet friendly. the prices were somewhat above the level of Chinese main restaurants in the region, but most dishes still cost below 10 euro. Although “Saigon” can be a fusion of a Vietnamese and a Chinese restaurant and appears rather western than authentic for us, we very appreciate our meal times and the atmosphere there and found the prices with the quality of food."

"Had luck to get a shady little bite, were by chance past there at midday (or already saluted, since over 30 degrees in the shadow.) the house is totally sweet with crumbles and blooms completed, you don't realize that next door is the street (and behind the mur.) the eating was very good, the compositions were already more sophisticated and the kitchens. also the lunch menu was very good, the service was very fast and attentive. we remember the spot for another visit!"

"If you want to experience something special, go for the Kaiser in Kapfenberg. We have been there several times on different occasions, usually with some relatives from abroad, and it has always been a nice experience. The food is excellent but not overpriced. The atmosphere is oldfashioned, though somewhat cozy. In August it was very hot on the premises because some fellow guests objected to opening the windows or turning on the air condition."
