"We stopped for lunch whilst passing through the area, picked this S it was in sight of ample parking for our motorcycles, it had kerb appeal and appeared the locals were using it. Had a light lunch food a coffee were of a good standard, clean restaurant good facilities and the young waiter was very helpful and attentive. It appears to be in the centre of town on a square which has an impressive arched gate house across from the restaurant. When we were there they were just clearing up a Saturday morning market, it's l Good lunch stop."

"Pourquoi a-il perdu son étoile? C'est bien la question. L’apéro est servie sur une petite terrasse, le menu découverte est absolument exceptionnel, un plaisir pour les yeux, un régal pour les papilles,la carte des vins variées sans exagération. Les serveurs sont très professionnels. Le "patron historique" ( c'est affaire de famille) est un véritable historien de la gastronomie française. On ne lasse pas de l’écouter parler avec amour de son métier"

"This is a very good provincial restaurant. Seating is comfortable and decor smart a combination of modern and traditional. The food is interesting and portions generous. Flavours are bold and clean with inventive use of spices: the veal three ways was a particularly successful dish. The mostly local cheeses had been kept well. The wine list contains a wide selection from the Loire, providing a combination of well known and unusual vignerons. The availability of good quality rooms at the hotel associated with the restaurant makes this a good venue for a stop over on a drive south."
