"A very disappointing afternoon tea experience at the river and rowing museum cafe starting with a £4 automatic charge to enter the museum car park the cost of which was previously redeemable if eating in the cafe. Ordered a tea for two and a cake which took 20 minutes to receive. In the meantime we asked the waitress to clear and clean our table she took a few plates and cups away the first time then went away to prepare an order for another customer without washing her hands we waited a few minutes and had to ask her to come back to clear the table properly same thing again cleared a few more items but then went back to serving a customer at the till we had to call her a third time to finally wipe down the table. I asked for the manager so I could feedback my concerns there was no manager on site. The waitress informed me that the cafe was now being managed by the Chocolate Cafe. We have been regular visitors with our children for more than 10 years the place is now a very shabby place with the poor service and poor Covid hygiene practice I wont be coming back. The museum brand will be clearly damaged if it continues to allow such service to continue"

"I’ve been here many times recently and every time has been great, so as there seem to be a few very negative reviews of late I felt I should give my experience to balance them out. I have never found the cafe dirty, it has always been spotless. I have only ever had tea and cake, but every time, without exception, it has been lovely and today was the best ever. I had the carrot cake and it was not only a very generous size, but it was moist and tasty too. My tea was excellent and my mother’s orange juice was nice too, and all at a reasonable price given that it’s Henley riverside. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and I will be going back again very soon!"

"I stayed here for a time of days and although I didn't get the opportunity to check their lunch and dinner menus, my breakfast here was lush and tasty and the everyday was an adventure. <br br/> thanks to the very courtly coworkers here, who would always receive my order on a quick sign, I enjoyed my breakfast and reached office on time! <br br/> my favorites were here the tiny maurers who had parfaits, yogurt and cut fruit for a simple and walking friendly breakfast. <br br/> they also have elaborate hot breakfasts that are truly heavenly. almost the majority of the days I had arnold nnett a miraculous deep plate of iron, squid and generous puppies of cheese. yummmm. <br br/>The tipper and the avocado on toast are also very beautiful. if they are particularly ravenous, I suggest the arnold bennett because he will fill them. the tipper could have them with a fish taste for a long time (it is fish finally, so that expected < br/>Lovely location and so a warm ambiente. I could stay here forever!"

"This is a small coffee shop on two levels. I placed my order with a pleasant staff member. The server making the coffee was less civil. The coffee was good and the toilet was clean enough. The upstairs tables were a bit dirty and had not been cleared for a while."

"A nice post lockdown sunday lunch ... wish i had the turbot rather than the roast turkey (which was OK, but not great) but couldnt help but be greedy for the first christmas lunch of the year."
