"I went in a party of three and we all ordered turbot, because neither of us is a massive carnivore (and none of us wanted to eat a brain). the menu was small and the main thing was expensive. the fish was beautifully coked, but not sure whether it was the price as they need to order side to be satisfied, and this will be the price up to about £40. the side were good and bigger compared to the side that they would get in other restaurants; they were also well cooked. the dessert had snipsel of rhubarb and was more flan than brulee; I'd rather be lavish by rhubarb with a good, questionable ecstard. the eating was excellent, though expensive for what they were given, but I would still be this restaurant five stars because of the beautiful outdoor and good service, without which I would probably rate orwell's four stars."

"Honestly, I had hoped for more. I had a decent pasta dish and husband had a fairly good burger. The sticky toffee pudding was a little disappointing. Service was excellent, not issues there! For the price, I had just hoped for a little more. The patio is lovely, and highly recommend eating there if possible."

"Many thanks to all staff for a perfect lunch yesterday to celebrate the 90th birthday of my mother. with 25 of us please, they have made a fantastic job. eating was delicious especially the amazing skyberry souffle! all staff were very nice and friendly. we have visited many paintings and never disappointed. can not recommend very enough."
