"NeverAgain Mediocre food and pathetic service. An evening meant to be enjoyed gone BAD! To start with , the service is VERY POOR . After a 30 minute await at the table , waitress comes and ask late if we indeed want to order dinner or there only for drinks; and it was 8:30pm, not late for a summer evening even by North European standards . The tapas we ordered all came luke warm , certainly not freshly made . After the first round , the waitress doesn’t bother to come back to check , thrice we tried to get her attention and finally when we did , she says that the table we were sitting isn’t her responsibility . There are a 100 restaurants in Hamburg that serve great tapas and charming service . Leche de Tigre , a short distance away serves authentic tapas and Spanish food , and yes , without the PATHETIC service of El Iberico . And the best of them Picasso , close to the city town hall ."

"Deseo is located in a great location with the subway station close by. In an area with plenty of bars and shops. The menu is standard tapas, yet the quality of the meat dishes in particular is very good. Stand out for me was the...steak and chorizo. The service has always been fantastic. The outdoor area is particularly good. It is spacious and contained, so perfect for tranquil summer dining with family or friends."
