"Had the most incredible experience here 4 weeks ago! The food was some of the best I've ever had in Halifax! The wine was amazing, and the service was fast, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic. We had the House Cured Charcterie to start, I have the Duck Margret as my main, and my partner had the Beef Striploin as her main. For desert we finished off with the Terrine. It was all outstanding, one of the best meals top to bottom I have ever had. Cannot recommend Stories more!"

"Was there yesterday around 8:00 am. Service was good, however, the coffee wasn't fresh. Hadn't been there for a long time but I wanted a good cup of coffee, was really disappointed."

"The food was excellent as always, but we felt a little rushed through our meal. It 's understandable that they want to turn tables over, but this meal was a special birthday dinner and we were in and out in just over an hour. One of the orders wasn 't prepared to specification, and it was just shrugged off as oh sorry about that but nothing was done about it. Plates were cleared before other people were finished eating, which is a big pet peeve of mine. It makes other guests feel like they have to rush. All in all a good dinner, but overall the service was a bit lacking."

"Stillwell is the go-to spot for craft beer in Halifax for good reason! Twelve revolving taps and three beer engines allow the beer lover to try a fantastic selection of beers, and even a craft cider or two. While there, we worked our way through everything in either the great four beer flights or occasional sleeves. The beer-savvy staff will not serve a cask if it's not up to their standards - I saw a freshly tapped cask replaced by another before it reached a single customer!Although the only food we tried was the excellent dill pickle popcorn (!!!), the very well-priced and thoughtful menu warrants a return visit, especially after seeing the food served up to others around us. This place is really something special for any beer lover!"
