"We travel constantly and look for cheap motels, as most stays are only one night. we have booked a superior room in the lilac city motel and in the Steak house and while the room was bright and clean, I wouldn't have it as superior discribe...but at $129 it was worth it. I hesitate to think how the less than superior rooms may. under the dash, this motel flatters like ok. the adjacent steakhouse is however a great distraction. the motel and steakhouse must have a good contract to host and feed the street workers, and it seems that they prove to be positiw. my wife and I came to the steakhouse at 6.20 and there were still a few in front of us. We ordered our meals plus beer and wee at 6.30 the drinks came by quickly enough. then a group of hi vis Clad-Bloks arrived. around 19 o'clock I asked the waitress nice if someone tried to catch the fish we ordered. around 7.15, now on my second beer, I asked again nicely how our meals came when the large group of cerls received their. I was told that the cook (only one person) was busy. at 7.30 a.m. I was really upset and approached the waitress again and asked our food on the table at 7.45 it was not. no apologies. I paid for the beer and wee and went. at no time I got a sincere apology. the motel reception said the workers had ordered to eat before they came. I'm sorry, I'm not apologising for the pathetic service. Finally we drove to the city and ordered an almolst identical meal in the hibernian hotel. it was busy, but the meals came in about 10 minutes and half the price of the Steak house."

"It is awesome how the pub has been refreshed and kept open during the Reno. The smell from the toilets on one side of the pub was however not that fresh. We enjoyed a great value meal on the other side. The best salad of any local pub we've tried."

"Had a nice culinary experience here last year, so we thought we would bring back the family for a tasty bite. bad decision. when we were handed over the menu, I wondered where the rest of it had disappeared. from eating to diner....Most of ordered steak not many other options med/rare came from an interesting color of gray, wondering if the grill was up before they got the steak on? other mealtimes were okay, but a wide scream of our previous experience. other family members who had fallen here in advance. very disappointing, we will not be back."
