"Went to Curry Insel (which means Curry Island apparently) to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Now this particular friend is from Mumbai and was visiting Vienna for a short break, and neither of us having been here before, the choice of restaurant was a leap of faith. We were not disappointed. The service was attentive and the food was good. It’s a little different to Indian, but then again Sri Lanka is an island with its own culinary tradition. If anything, the food was spicy and maybe a little hot to our taste but we had been given a choice when ordering and asked for “medium spicy”. Bear in mind that “mild” or “moderate” might be a better starting point the first time you visit. If you are in Vienna for long, you will want to go back. Good veggie options too, which suited my friend. It turned out to be a good choice to celebrate my friend’s birthday after all!"

"This is the ideal place to go to when you don't feel like cooking and still want lots of vegetables and healthy food. I recommend that you eat at the premisses ( you can also take out but the boxes are not very cleverly designed so you risk to mix up your rice with everything else). The best thing on their menu are the mixed vegetable curries- for 6 € you get 6 different vegetables. salad , rice and indian crispy bread. Add a kingfisher beer and your tab amounts to 9€ -it is wholesoma and authentic. The premises on the Argentinierstrasse are simple and clean with lots of student clients from the nearby technical university."

"Vor kurzem war ich das erste Mal im Claire's, und komme sicher wieder! Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und geschmacklich sehr nah an dem, was ich während meines Sri Lanka-Urlaubs gekostet habe. Die Speisekarte bietet viel Auswahl an, wobei man jeweils eine Zuspeise (Reis, Roti, Hopper...) mit Curries kombiniert. Neben den Klassikern (Curry mit Huhn oder Rind oder Fisch, Linsen-Curry ...) gibt es auch ausgefalleneres, wie Jackfruit-Curry oder Ei-Curry, beides sehr gut. Es gibt auch zahlreiche vegetarische Optionen. Die Schärfe kann man bei jedem Gericht wählen - mittlere Schärfe war für meinen Geschmack schon ziemlich intensiv, also eher vorsichtig wählen, man kann sonst nachschärfen!Auch das Service war sehr freundlich. Man sollte ein wenig Zeit mitbringen, es wird schließlich alles frisch gemacht."

"Fresh made food, not expensive the normal priced beer was a lot costlier, than the fried rice), but the best was the family athmosphere. The chef thought you like it a little bit spicy, but if you don 't like it, we make you a fresh one, please taste. Yes, they could have asked, but what should I say? The chef was right, it was delicious!"

"One of my favorite not fully vegan restaurants. the owners are super nice and try their best to fulfill any desire. it is possible to veganize any dish, they only replace the meat with tofu (which has a very beautiful consistency by the way). they must try the veganized version of the 'gellow chicken'. it is delicious! if you order remove it, it is also possible to bring your own container."
