"A nice nice place, We were on the 26.12 on site. At 6:00 we asked on site if there was still a table for two people at 7:00, the answer was at 19:30 you can come by... We did that, and not regretted.. at the entrance to the restaurant we were already kindly received, the appetizers as well as our main dish when excellent, The only thing that might be difficult is the drink prices are somewhat high... Otherwise we can only say we have rarely eaten so well thank you"

"We had booked online to come here after a show in Essen one Saturday evening recently. On the day itself we were caught up in traffic but couldn 't get through by telephone to advise them that we would be arriving late. Apparently the telephone was...out of order. We parked for free on the large, industrial site between the old warehouses, factory buildings etc. The restaurant itself is located in a renovated factory with all the trappings of its formal glory. Very atmospheric. But what made our evening was the friendly, helpful waitress who looked after us brilliantly. Having brought our drinks she helped us with the a la carte menu. I had cod Haniel Sein Kabeljau , a lovely piece of fish no bones, topped with north sea shrimps, bacon piece, tiny cubes of fried bread with boiled potatoes and a side salad. Delicious. My wife eventually chose Den Jäger Sein Saitling sic which was essentially large oyster mushrooms therefore should have been correctly spelt Seitling in a creamy sauce. Our teenage son had difficulties choosing from the evening menu. In fact he spotted a snitzel on the lunch time menu and our waitress having sympathy with the limited culinary appetite of the current teenage generation promised to negotiate in the kitchen to allow him to have this with the parmesan fried potatoes off the a la carte menu. Her willingness to show flexibility here was really appreciated. For desserts I went for strawberries in a delicious creamy/ice cream sauce and my wife went for the impressively priced creme brulee 9,90€! . In fact our meal wasn 't cheap but given the unusual atmosphere, the quality of the food and the excellent service we were perfectly happy with our decision to come here. Thank you!"
