"Vor zwei Tagen habe ich per Mail für heute Abend einen Tisch reserviert für ein gemütliches Zusammensein mit Freunden zu einem feinem Nachtessen in der "alten Mühle" in Rickenbach. Innert Stunden erhielt ich eine Reservationsbesätigung.Ich war vorher noch nie da und habe mich also auf die Urteile meiner Kollegen vom Tripadvisor verlassen. Und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht.Freundlicher Empfang durch das Servicepersonal. Sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Rasche Bestellungsaufnahme, zügige Bedienung. Das Essen macht hier noch Spass. Die Teller sind sehr schön angerichtet, die Speisen frisch zubereitet und schmecken köstlich. Die Weine sind sind gut assortiert. Die Preise sind moderat, das Preis / Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Die angenehme, rustikal eingerichtete Bauernstube gab dem ganzen Nachtessen einen gediegenen Rahmen.Kurzum, ich werde dieses Restaurant wieder besuchen!"

"Sadly the typical Swiss potato) Rösti offered are not gluten free made also with normal wheat flour but staff knew about it and were knowledgeable about gf) so I was advised by staff had to switch to the only gf option which was a small pizza called „Brauer Hefeteigfladen“ which is declared a gf option in the menu. It was a totally self made crust and very yummy. Because of this I asked the waiter twice if it was really gluten free and he confirmed that. As I had no immediate health issues after that I am not celiac but very sensitive to gluten and especially wheat in general) I was very optimistic it would be a good place for gf eaters and wrote my initial remark here. When mid next day the first typical symptoms of gluten contamination started I knew the place is not clean at all and cross contamination must be an issue in this kitchen! The symptoms stretched over several days as I had it before. Therefore I cannot recommend this place although my meal tasted good. I visited the first and last time ; Menu in German: [hidden link]"

"I went to Restaurant zum scharfen Eck with a friend tonight, it was a very good surprise! It is a perfect location, in the middle of old town and with a beautiful view to the Castle. The food was excellent, prize correct and service very kind. The place is decorated in a very good taste, nice lights.Very nice, i can only recommend it."

"We have been dining at The Falken ever since we moved to the area. This large pub restaurant offers a wide menu with a mix of traditional Swiss dishes, European staples and American belly fillers. There is something for everyone, great quality meats and fish on the hot stone, burgers, salads and weekly specials. The service is excellent with friendly staff who remember you and always make time to check on you. The atmosphere is friendly and they are open later than most other places in town. They are only open from 17.00 and closed on Sundays."
