"With our two young children on their way home from a ski tour in this beautiful place. It was a busy Friday night and we had no reservation, but we were quickly greeted and shown an available table. The food (Tartare, smoked salmon mousse, fish and chips, Carbonara) was tasteful, well seasoned, beautifully presented and delicious. Desserts, who followed, were also a hit with special mention of the decadent cheesecake that my daughter unwillingly shared a few bites. The service was attentive, warm and very friendly. The dining room was full, and yet service was performed during an extraordinary work of only two ladies who manage the floor. Thanks to the kitchen and the service team for a fantastic meal; we will be in town again!"

"Well, what can I say. We were a family group of 6 people. We all loved it. The owner was so nice and took the time from his crazy schedule to ensure we were happy and give us some history about the place. The sugar shack is located on a hilltop (hence the name) with views to the north and the valley below. It’s just a beautiful spot. Then there’s the food.... All you can eat. They serve the dishes at the table and keep coming back replenishing the empty dishes and asking if we are happy and if there’s anything we need. The food was extremely good. All the products are local. The menu was perfect and there’s even dessert with 4-5 different choices. When all done, you can enjoy Tire on the snow. What a delight. The atmosphere is warm and the chalet has wood beams and windows with views to die for. We will all definitely return next year."
