"As for the pros, I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. I loved the dim but dramatic lighting, especially at the tables. Also, our server, Camilla, was very courteous and friendly. I thought the food presentation and the beers were quite nice. As for the cons, the food tasted just okay. My S/O had the Madrones Burger and I had the Portobello Gnocchi. Both were very light tasting flavor-wise, but they had a lot of heaviness/oil to them. In fact, the bottom of my gnocchi dish was mainly oil. The cheesecake was also too sweet/heavy, but that might just be a preference thing. I wish I could like both the atmosphere and food."

"The menu may appear with escape as “chickens” and “bass”, but any dish we had was amazing. parker house rolls was a great start, and the huh was the best that all three of us had ever tried. they also recommend the nativity. not cheap, but they really get what they pay here."

"Wow.....over 400 sodas? I was overwhelmed just by the multiple unique root beers to choose from for my root beer float. I got the Appalachian Root Beer, which was fantastic. They also have vegan ice cream (yum! for sundaes or shakes, and will even top it off for you with coconut whipped cream! We will be back soon for their vegan sloppy joes too! Just stop in sometime to take it all in you will love this little gem of a place in downtown Frederick!"
