"Minestrone Soup was surprisingly bland. Had no beans and very little macaroni. South city Meatballs and ravioli was tasty, and came with a huge salad on the side. Dressing options were a bit disappointing though. Accompanying garlic bread was a generous portion and also tasty."

"My meatball sub came out more like meatballs with a side of bread, sauce and condiments. And honestly, not bursting with flavor. However, I think the decor is really cool. And they have an awesome tap list. Ill be back to try another sandwich, but probably will go for a cold sub and a brew. They did have a nice variety of hearty salad choices."

"Coffee great. Customer service terrible! Employees talk behind counter for minutes, totally ignoring the line. When you finally get to the register, the associate was very rude, took the order, and never said thank you. Peet is rolling over in the grave????"

"I could talk about the service, or the various amazing sandwich options, or their proximity to San Mateo and walkable status. All of these things are great about Ike's. But I won't talk about that.I want to talk about feelings. That feeling of driving over the speed limit for the first time. Witnessing a baby seagull steal a piece of trash. Flipping the tongue of your shoe so it's flat against your foot after walking with it all folded wrong for a bit. These all pale in comparison to the emotional ride you're in for when the Matt Cain sandwich from Ike's slams into your tongue. The highs. The lows. Actually there aren't lows. It's all highs. Just higher and higher highs.Seriously. Get the Matt Cain."
