"The wheatsheaf is located in a small picturesque village and is flowering small pub with character and charm. I got the opportunity to eat here and so glad I did. the menu and the specialties are diverse and I could not mistake my food or service. it can be a little expensive, but they get in any case what they pay for compared to other pubs. every penny worth."

"My hubby and I went to lunch today and had the £5 Sparer menu! this offer is only in the januar! I had the pizza and nabeby the meatball sandwich. my pizza was absolutely tasty, fresh made and a mouth watering topping! Hubby said his was lush, sauce had a light heat, but not too much to take away the taste of the meat balls! please keep this menu! this menu should be constant!"

"Had to wait well over 45 mins the starter of chicken wings were greasy and not worth the wait. The chips were nice not sure why a steak would take that long to cook. The bar service was slow probably because bar staff was eating. People smoking outside right by the where we were eating. I noticed that people were being serve before us even though we ordered before them. Would not recommend at all"

"Beautiful pub! Lovely garden with children’s play area. Easy to get to off of the ferry, with lovely staff and atmosphere. Dog friendly, free parking, resident cats. Not to mention the amazing food. Exactly what we were looking for! Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"I'm a local person and I have visited the Wyvern many times. Unfortunately my family evening meal out was disappointing, the service was average, the atmosphere was poor and the language in the background with various youngsters was appalling. The food was acceptable but the rib's were full of fat and the slaw was an afterthought. This issue was reported but the staff member who then had a chat with the chef, the response was they are all good quality meats. I beg to differ on this occasion. Prior to attending the establishment I check the menu on the internet, price's and menu listing was different to that of the restaurant menu, he'll of a change. The bill was over £110 pounds and the family I was trying to impress felt very let down. Recommendations will not be forthcoming. Sorry but I've always been impressed with the place."
